Chiefs vs Eagles Super Bowl Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets

The Big Game is almost here, and Jason Logan likes Eagles WR DeVonta Smith and Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt as potential TD scorers in Super Bowl 59.

Every NFL player dreams of scoring a touchdown in the Super Bowl. And with the total for Super Bowl LIX teetering on 50 points, a few players for the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will get to live out that dream — maybe twice.

The Super Bowl odds for anytime touchdowns are one of the most popular prop options for the Big Game and I’ve already dug into this market for a few player spotlights and podcast picks here on Covers.com (like Jalen Hurts -115 and a flyer on Noah Gray +500).

But given that lofty total and the firepower on the field at the Caesars Superdome, there’s plenty of potential love in the end zone to go around.

Here are two of my best touchdown bets and NFL picks for Chiefs vs. Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9.

Chiefs anytime touchdown pick

Kareem Hunt anytime touchdown (+120 at Caesars)

Kareem Hunt is the Kansas City Chiefs’ running back of choice inside the red zone and it’s paying off.

He’s scored a touchdown in each postseason win — a 12-yard run versus Houston and a 1-yard push vs. Buffalo — which gives him one TD in each of his last four starts going back to Week 16.

Those scores also extended Hunt’s playoff touchdown streak, with the RB finding the end zone in all six career postseason games.

Hunt has continued to get the majority of backfield snaps over fellow RB Isiah Pacheco, even with the latter getting healthy after an early-season injury — the reason Hunt got the call from Kansas City in the first place.

He received three red-zone carries in the AFC Championship Game and should the Chiefs get within 10 yards of the goal line against Philadelphia on Sunday, you can be sure Hunt will get a crack at crossing the plane.

Also, don’t forget Hunt is also a capable pass catcher. While his role in the receiving game hasn’t been that big in 2024-25, he was a very active option through the air in his first go-around with Kansas City. We could see Hunt targeted on a quick screen or even a shovel pass.

Eagles anytime touchdown pick

DeVonta Smith anytime touchdown (+235 at Caesars)

DeVonta Smith is third in the Philadelphia Eagles’ pecking order when it comes to passing plays, behind A.J. Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert.

However, the slender WR has a knack for stepping up in crunch time. With the Super Bowl LIX spread at 1.5 points, this could be a close game to the finish.

Smith scored three of his eight total touchdowns in the fourth quarter this year and his splits in close games in the final frame see a spike in his involvement.

So far in the playoffs, he’s been targeted four times in each game and caught all 12 passes, but none came inside the red zone. Smith actually led the team with 12 red-zone targets in the regular season, catching three RZ TD passes.

Smith had a monster day against this Chiefs defense in Super Bowl LVII, catching seven of nine passes for 100 yards, including a 45-yard strike. He’s a big-play threat against a defense that primarily plays man-to-man and allowed the ninth-most passing plays of 20+ yards as well as the fifth-most passes of 40+ yards.

To put the cherry on top of the TDAT sundae, Smith is a native of Amite City, Louisiana, and will be playing in front of plenty of family and friends in New Orleans.
