Eagles vs Ravens Predictions, Picks, and Best Bets for NFL Week 13

Tom Oldfield's NFL betting picks for Eagles vs. Ravens believe this game between two run-first teams will come down to which one can out-pass the other. Philly is better equipped to win that battle in his eyes thanks to A.J. Brown.

When Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry get rolling, the Baltimore Ravens can grind teams into submission.

However, they run into a mirror image today against Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and a Philadelphia Eagles team that’s won seven in a row, so you'll want to consult my Eagles vs. Ravens predictions for today's hyped-up Battle of the Birds. Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium is 4:25 p.m. ET, and CBS has the coverage.

Read on for my top NFL picks and betting angles for a monster December 1 matchup, including A.J. Brown showing this clash is about more than just the running games.

Eagles vs Ravens prediction

Who will win Eagles vs Ravens?

In this marquee Week 13 showdown, Philadelphia feels like the form team, with four of its last six wins coming by at least 17 points — and the visitors haven’t tasted defeat since September 29.

The Ravens have failed to cover the spread in two of their last three contests as favorites, and there’s every chance this game comes down to a late field goal.

My best bet
Eagles +3 (-120 at BetMGM)

My analysis
Buckle up for some thunderous collisions at M&T Bank Stadium as the NFL’s top two rushing attacks go head-to-head, with the Philadelphia Eagles averaging 193.4 yards per game and the Baltimore Ravens just behind with 180.2.

As a result, there’s a big Derrick Henry vs. Saquon Barkley spotlight. Barkley starts the day 67 yards ahead of Henry for the rushing title after piling up 255 yards on the ground against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend. But, with the potential for the run games to cancel each other out, I see Sunday’s battle coming down to other explosive plays.

That’s why I’m taking the points with an Eagles team that’s looked more balanced. They’re on an impressive win streak, have covered the spread in five of their last six outings and — most critically — have the personnel to torch a shaky Baltimore secondary.

So, it’s the passing game that could end up being decisive. While the Eagles are allowing the third-fewest yards through the air, the Ravens are giving up the second-most — a whopping 277.7 per game.

With A.J. Brown on a tear and DeVonta Smith possibly returning from a hamstring injury, I’ve got more faith in Jalen Hurts converting the big third-down plays and being able to punish Baltimore for overcommitting against Barkley.

It’s a short week for the Ravens and, while they’re 4-1 at home, Philadelphia is 5-1 on the road this year. In what’s sure to be a slugfest, the Eagles feel like a high-value underdog.

Eagles vs Ravens same-game parlay

Eagles +3

A.J. Brown Over 88.5 receiving yards

Derrick Henry anytime touchdown

Barkley was the standout story for the Eagles in Week 12, but that overshadowed another big game from Brown, who finished with six grabs for 109 yards and a touchdown.

While Baltimore’s run defense has been reliable all year (and Roquan Smith is set to return after missing Week 12), the same can’t be said about the hosts’ secondary. Ja’Marr Chase got loose for 264 yards and three scores against the Ravens in Week 10, and I expect Brown to do damage too on the way to this Over.

I’m also pumping up the SGP odds with a Henry anytime touchdown. He’s tied for the most carries in the NFL inside the five-yard line this season and has already racked up 15 touchdowns.

King Henry is Plan A for Baltimore in the red zone, and I see him adding to his touchdown tally here, even if his overall rushing efficiency is a little below his season average.

Eagles vs Ravens spread and Over/Under analysis

  • Philadelphia enters as a road underdog, but the visitors have won four in a row on their travels.
  • Baltimore has only hit the 1Q moneyline in seven of its past 22 games, and a slow start could be fatal here.
  • The Over is 10-2 for the Ravens this season, but the Eagles have held six of their last seven opponents to 20 points or fewer.
  • While both teams are used to cold weather games, temperatures will dip into the 30s. The Under seems like the safer play, with Philadelphia only hitting the 4Q Over in two of its past 10 road games.
