Best Week 6 first TD picks
First TD prop bet #1: Jahmyr Gibbs
Best odds: +600 at DraftKings
The Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys game is looking like a potential shootout, but with the Leos as three-point favorites, they’re the most likely team to open the scoring. When it comes to picking the player, it's Jahmyr Gibbs who leaps off the odds board.
The Cowboys have been getting torn apart by running backs recently, and not many in the NFL are as shifty or as elusive as Gibbs. He also comes into this game fresh from the bye and in great form too, scoring four times in as many games — including two in his last game against the Seahawks.
First TD prop bet #2: Jayden Daniels
Best odds: +1,200 at DraftKings
The Ravens are favorites for the visit of the Commanders, and rightly so, but Washington has been upsetting the odds all season, and it wouldn’t be a shock if it took the lead. The Commanders' status as seven-point underdogs has also given us some very high odds on Jayden Daniels scoring the first touchdown of the game.
He’s scored four rushing touchdowns in the five games of his NFL career and has had at least eight carries in every single game.
He’s a potent threat with his legs inside the red zone, and with Brian Robinson questionable, it means there’s an increased chance the rookie QB could opt to trust himself to get into the end zone. You won’t get odds as high as +1,200 on a Daniels’ first TD often, so take them while you can.
First TD prop bet #3: Tucker Kraft
Best odds: +1,300 at FanDuel
Our final first TD pick is another player who offers bigger odds than the data would imply that they should, and that’s TE Tucker Kraft.
It’s clear Jordan Love has real chemistry with Kraft, and they’ve combined for 12 receptions, 178 yards, and three scores in three games.
The Packers are heavy favorites and, given home-field advantage, have a high probability of scoring the first touchdown of the game. Kraft is one of the key parts of this offense, and with Jayden Reed and Josh Jacobs offering far shorter prices to score first, it’s the TE who you should bet on.
