After toiling for years around a mediocre Detroit Lions roster, Matthew Stafford struck gold in Hollywood during the 2021-22 season, winning the Super Bowl in his first run with the Los Angeles Rams.

Having led the Rams to the playoffs in two of the last three seasons since hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the 37-year-old may now have his sights set on a third destination. After top wideout Cooper Kupp was informed that he was expected to be traded this offseason, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Friday that the veteran QB's agent had been given the green light to speak to other teams.

With two years left on Stafford's current deal and a potential trade or release looming, let's break down the NFL odds for Matthew Stafford heading into the 2025-26 NFL season.

Matthew Stafford next team odds (if not Rams)

Team Odds
Vikings Minnesota Vikings +200
Giants New York Giants +300
Raiders Las Vegas Raiders +400
Colts Indianapolis Colts +500
Jets New York Jets +700
Steelers Pittsburgh Steelers +800
Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars +1000
Cowboys Dallas Cowboys +1200
Saints New Orleans Saints +1200
Browns Cleveland Browns +1600
Titans Tennessee Titans +1800
49ers San Francisco 49ers +2200
Seahawks Seattle Seahawks +3000
Lions Detroit Lions +4000

Odds as of 2-22-2025

Vikings Minnesota Vikings (+200)

We already saw what Kevin O'Connell did for Sam Darnold's career, and while Matthew Stafford doesn't require any guidance, his fit with the Minnesota Vikings would be incredible. O'Connell was the Rams' offensive coordinator during Stafford's first season in Los Angeles when the quarterback tied a career-high with 41 passing touchdowns, ultimately capped off by a Super Bowl victory.

After seeing what Stafford accomplished with the likes of Calvin Johnson Jr. and Cooper Kupp, pairing the veteran gunslinger with Justin Jefferson would form one of the deadliest combos in football.

Giants New York Giants (+300)

Following the New York Giants finally conceding on the idea of Daniel Jones being a franchise quarterback, Joe Schoen and John Mara will have their sights set on an immediate answer at QB.

Holding pick No. 3 in the upcoming draft, I'd argue the Giants are better suited to draft a young pivot like Cam Ward for Shedeur Sanders, but there's something to be said about the Giants looking competitive — or better yet, competent — in the demanding New York sports market.

In the short term, there's no doubt that Stafford would give the Giants a shot at a winning record and potential playoff berth.

Raiders Las Vegas Raiders (+400)

Jimmy Garoppolo, Gardner Minshew, and Aidan O'Connell all failed to provide answers under center for the Las Vegas Raiders, and a legitimate solution for the Silver and Black will be necessary in 2025-26.

With Pete Carroll taking the helm in Sin City, the Raiders are not only searching for a true franchise quarterback but also aiming for a return to the postseason.
