We are now into the business end of the NFL season as Wild Card Weekend is here with a slate of highly intriguing games.

My favorite NFL picks against the spread are split evenly between home and away sides and, more importantly, a split of underdogs and favorites.

Expert Wild Card ATS picks

Chargers vs Texans
Texans Texans +3

Many may be quick to write off the Houston Texans, but I won't be one of them. This is a team that has had terrible injury luck and has been on cruise control since October because of the state of the AFC South. These teams stack up about as evenly as any matchup in the wild-card round. The Los Angeles Chargers' history of finding ways to blow games needs to be taken into account and I believe the Texans find a way to win this game outright.

Steelers vs Ravens
Bills Ravens -10

The Pittsburgh Steelers were a great story for the better part of 12 weeks, but they've come crashing back down to earth. I see this game following a similar script to their Week 16 battle when the Baltimore Ravens won by 17 at home. The Ravens are better all around and won't let this opportunity get the better of them.

Broncos vs Bills
Broncos Broncos +9

The Denver Broncos have been playing playoff-caliber football for the better part of the last five weeks and that'll count for something here. They have scored at least 24 points in seven straight, and if they do that again, I don't see the Buffalo Bills winning by double digits. The Broncos' defense rates out as the third-best scoring defense, so the Bills will need to have their A-game to advance to the divisional round.

Packers vs Eagles
Eagles Eagles -4.5

The Philadelphia Eagles have the superior defense and can hit you from a multitude of angles. The Green Bay Packers are more run-oriented and I don't believe that'll trouble the Eagles in this, the second of their meetings this season.

Commanders vs Buccaneers
Commanders Commanders +3

For all the good that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did this season, almost blowing a shot at the division title against the Saints last week doesn't sit right with me. The Washington Commanders are playing some great football right now and the moment won't be too big for Jayden Daniels

Vikings vs Rams
Vikings Vikings -1

I have to tip my cap to the Los Angeles Rams, who overcame early injuries to capture the NFC West crown. However, it'll all be for nothing as the Minnesota Vikings are better from top to bottom and should have no issues moving the ball on the 27th-ranked total defense, which allows teams to convert on 40.7% of their third-down attempts.
