Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons are set to go for a fourth straight win, with an injury-hit Seattle Seahawks team in town on a three-game skid.

My Seahawks vs. Falcons predictions expect an explosive affair, and my NFL picks break down how these two will light the scoreboard up on Sunday, October 20.

My analysis
Let’s face it — this matchup is all about the offenses. With both teams trying to paper over defensive flaws and absences, the true difference-makers are on the other side of the ball. The Seattle Seahawks' offense has posted impressive numbers, despite the team’s current slump.

Geno Smith leads the league with 1,778 passing yards through six games — Kirk Cousins is fourth on that list — and I expect the Seahawks to move the ball consistently against an Atlanta Falcons defense that looked shaky against the lowly Carolina Panthers in Week 6.

But I’m even more bullish about the Falcons’ offensive prospects on Sunday. Atlanta has scored 74 points in its last two games, while Seattle has given up 107 points in its past three outings.

Yes, the Seahawks hope to welcome back defensive difference-makers Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy II, and Julian Love, but there are still key injuries in the secondary, and they’re giving up 144.7 rushing yards per game this year (seventh worst in the NFL).

Both quarterbacks have a wealth of options available to them and the potential for exploitable mismatches on every snap, and that partly explains why both teams have strung together three consecutive Overs.

Seahawks vs Falcons same-game parlay

Over 51

DK Metcalf Over 67.5 receiving yards

Bijan Robinson Over 64.5 rushing yards

This should be one of the cleaner pockets Geno Smith has experienced this season, making all of the Seattle receiving yards props worth a look.

I’m targeting DK Metcalf, who’s seen a lot of elite cornerbacks this year but is walking into more lopsided matchups here. The volume should be there — he’s tied for fifth in targets — and this prop could have even greater value if Tyler Lockett is ruled out or limited by a knee issue.

With Metcalf coming off a frustrating stretch which has included two costly fumbles, I’m banking on a backlash this weekend, and he’s gone past this O/U total three times already this year.

As we’ve established, the Seahawks have been gashed on the ground through the first six games, and the visitors’ tackling continues to be a red flag. That’s a good sign for Bijan Robinson, who ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns against Carolina last weekend.

Even while splitting backfield work with Tyler Allgeier, Robinson is posting impressive numbers, and this Over should be within reach against a Seattle defense that allowed 228 rushing yards at 6.9 ypc in a dispiriting Week 6 showing.

Robinson has gone past this 64.5-yard line in three of the four games this year where he received at least 15 carries.

Seahawks vs Falcons spread and Over/Under analysis

  • Given the injury uncertainty that could drag right through to kickoff, I’ve stayed away from the spread for my best bets, but the Falcons are 3-3 ATS this season and have a .500 record at home.
  • The Seahawks have covered the first-half spread in seven of their last 10 road outings, yet they’ve only scored first in two of their past 10 games overall.
  • Seattle is 1-6-2 ATS in its last nine games overall but has won on three of its last four visits to Atlanta.
  • The Falcons have cashed in the first-half Over in 13 of their past 20 contests.
