bet365 same-game parlay for Kansas City vs San Francisco

Chiefs moneyline

Patrick Mahomes 2+ passing TDs

Rashee Rice anytime TD

Pick made on 2/8

One of my first wagers on the Super Bowl was Kansas City to win outright. While the Chiefs have been fortunate to face some banged-up opponents in the postseason, they did go into Buffalo and Baltimore and take playoff wins on the road.

Kansas City has more ways to make the 49ers feel uncomfortable in this matchup, from Patrick Mahomes shredding the Niners’ zone-heavy schemes to the Chiefs’ aggressive defense getting the best of Brock Purdy. Kansas City is the underdog that never feels like an underdog.

Leading the charge for the Chiefs is Mahomes, who I expect to throw for at least two touchdowns in Super Bowl LVIII.

He faces a San Francisco defense that anchors itself in zone coverage and has leaked a ton of points in the postseason. Mahomes does his best work versus zone and doesn’t have to stack up the yardage to put up TDs. Last year, he threw for less than 200 yards in Super Bowl LVII but connected for three touchdown passes in the win over Philadelphia.

One of those touchdown passes will find its way to rookie WR Rashee Rice, who has played beyond his years all season.

He’s quickly become one of Mahomes’ most trusted targets, including in the red zone, where he leads the team in targets. Rice has scored eight total touchdown, including one in the Wild Card Round, and is the type of receiver to give the 49ers secondary fits. He’s among the best WRs versus zone and does damage in the flat and short passes to the outside, which is a soft spot for the San Francisco defense.

This same-game parlay of Kansas City moneyline, Mahomes 2+ touchdown passes, and Rice to score a TD comes out to +350. But bet365 is boosting that potential payout to +450. Odds, of course, are subject to change before kickoff.
