Kenneth Gainwell Super Bowl 57 Prop Odds and Prediction: Kenneth Goes Under Rushing Total

Kenneth Gainwell has made a name for himself with Philadelphia, adding to their large number of capable backs. With that said, he may be the odd man out against Kansas City, hampering his rushing total.

Kenneth Gainwell might not be a household name at Super Bowl 57 but few players have seen more up-and-down movement in their Super Bowl player props market than the Eagles' backup running back.

The Over/Under on Gainwell's rushing yards total opened at 16.5 and jumped up as high as 22.5 before sharp action dropped it back down to as low as 17.5 at most books.

I let you know where the betting value lies with the Eagles' second-string running back with my Super Bowl picks for Kenneth Gainwell's prop market for the Super Bowl tonight!

Kenneth Gainwell Super Bowl 57 best bet

Kenneth Gainwell has earned the trust of Philadelphia head coach Nick Siriani and after carrying the ball 53 times for 240 yards during the regular season, and he has seen a massive uptick in his usage during the playoffs.

He had 12 carries for 112 yards against the Giants in the divisional round before toting the rock 14 times for 48 yards vs. San Francisco in the NFC Championship.

However, much of his work came at the end of the game when the Eagles had a massive lead and were trying to run out the clock. Matter of fact, Gainwell had eight carries in a row on Philadelphia's second-last drive of the game in the fourth quarter before adding another at the two-minute warning.

Oddsmakers are expecting a close contest for the Super Bowl, and unless the Eagles manage to pull ahead significantly I don't see Gainwell getting many carries.

After all, he's still Philly's No. 3 running option after Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts, while veteran Boston Scott is still in the picture. Scott had six carries in each of the Eagles' playoff contests and has seen an offensive snap share of around 30% in their last four games.

With the game script not favoring a big night from Gainwell I'm fading him on his rushing yards total on anything above 20.

Prop: Gainwell Under 20.5 rushing yards (-115)

Alternate spread Eagles -6.5

If your book has a lower number on Gainwell's rushing yards total and you're inclined to take the Over, a same-game-parlay like this would make a lot of sense.

The Eagles are more likely to give the ball more to Gainwell if they can get a decent-sized lead which would correlate to an alternate spread on Philadelphia to win by at least seven points.

If the Eagles are scoring enough to win by that much it bodes well for Gainwell's chances of punching it into the end zone. After all, it's Gainwell and not Sanders who leads the Eagles backfield with seven red zone touches this postseason.
