The Tennessee Titans seek to cap a perfect NFL preseason when they travel to play the New Orleans Saints this afternoon and our Titans vs. Saints predictions expect them to at least get off to a strong start.

Tennessee hopes Will Levis can take a big step forward in Year 2 as they look to compete for an AFC South title. We break down their chances on Sunday in our NFL picks below.

My analysis
With the Tennessee Titans set to run their starters out for multiple series and reports indicating the New Orleans Saints will hold many of their key starters out, I’m backing the Titans to be ahead when the first quarter comes to a close.

Will Levis won’t have DeAndre Hopkins to throw to, but he’ll have the rest of the first-team offense at his disposal. In the preseason opener against the 49ers, Levis led the team down the field for touchdowns on both of his drives. While he was aided by a pair of big plays from special teams, the offense went 64 yards on the second drive and looked efficient.

New Orlean's offense had a solid start to the preseason but struggled against that same 49ers team last week. The offensive line is a weakness, one the Titans will likely be able to exploit. Tennessee has registered 28 pressures so far this preseason and they’ll be coming after Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener.

The Saints have struggled to run the football, averaging less than 4.00 yards per carry in both games. Last week, their two backup quarterbacks went a combined 11-for-21 passing for just 103 yards. Even without their big stars on the field, this Titans defense has more than enough talent to cause problems.

The Saints' defense was one of the worst in the NFL a season ago, and they’ve already suffered numerous injuries at the linebacker position. Levis will find enough success against them to put the Titans on the board, giving us an early sweat-free winner.
