Canada vs Finland prop picks and best bets

Connor McDavid anytime goal (+160 at FanDuel)

Connor McDavid has been relatively productive so far in the 4 Nations Face-Off. He tallied an assist in a 4-3 overtime win over Sweden and then scored the opener in thrilling fashion against Team USA. The Edmonton Oilers star has registered four shots on target in the tournament and will be relied upon to make some noise today.

Finland has the weakest blue line in the event, allowing six goals to the States in the first game before allowing three more to the Swedes on Saturday. Injuries unfortunately hit the Finns hard before the 4 Nations.

Canada needs a victory in regulation to solidify its spot in the final against the Americans. As head coach Jon Cooper said over the weekend, "This is our Game 7." McDavid is a big-time player and the Canadians need the best in the world to step up.

The three-time Hart Trophy winner will find the back of the net and keep his point streak going.

Sidney Crosby 1+ assists (-128 at FanDuel)

Sid The Kid was phenomenal in the tournament's first game, taking home Player of the Game honors as he led Canada with three points — all assists. Crosby set up Nathan MacKinnon, Mark Stone, and Mitch Marner for the overtime winner.

However, Crosby was very quiet against Team USA, failing to register a single shot on goal. However, the States’ biggest strength is their defending and goaltending. As I mentioned above, that is not the case with Finland.

During Canada’s 26-game unbeaten streak with Crosby in the lineup that just ended on Saturday, the legend tallied 1.12 points per game. He has been absolutely fantastic for his country and always rises to the occasion with the maple leaf on his chest. I expect Crosby to be involved offensively vs. Finland.

Anton Lundell 2+ shots on goal (+154 at FanDuel)

Anton Lundell is having a solid campaign for the Florida Panthers, scoring 13 goals and supplying 23 assists in 56 outings. The Finnish center scored a goal in the victory over Sweden and has created his fair share of opportunities through two games.

The 23-year-old had three shots on target vs. the US and another four against the Swedes. For the Cats in 2024-25, Lundell is also averaging 2.03 SOG.

He’s an important player for Finland and has been a consistent cog on the offensive attack.  Considering Lundell surpassed two SOG in both games, this is a great bet at +154 odds. He’ll test Jordan Binnington a couple of times at the very least.
