The Vancouver Canucks continue their road trip through the Southwest United States as they take on the Utah Hockey Club at the Delta Center.

Vancouver forward Jake DeBrusk has scored three goals over the past six games, and I expect his success to continue on Sunday night, as detailed in my Canucks vs. Utah predictions.

Read all about it in my NHL picks for February 23.

My Canucks analysis
Jake DeBrusk is capable of scoring at 5-on-5, but he's also a massive threat on the power play.

Nearly half of his goals this season have come on the man-advantage, which will present itself in this matchup. The Utah Hockey Club ranks 29th in the league this season in penalty minutes taken per game, so DeBrusk will have chances to add to his power play total.

Even if DeBrusk doesn’t score on the power play, he will have his chances at even strength. Entering this matchup, Utah ranks in the league's bottom half in xGA/60 at 5-on-5.

Goaltender Karel Vejmelka, who has allowed three or more goals in five of his past eight starts, backs up this defensively poor team. He is 3-4-1 over that stretch, with a .884 SV% and 3.17 GAA.

These woes will likely continue against the Vancouver Canucks, a team Vejmelka is 1-2-2 against in his career with a .842 SV% and 4.36 GAA.

Canucks vs Utah odds analysis

Utah opened as a -148 favorite and has since moved to -154. This line movement is likely because Arturs Silovs is slated to start between the pipes for Vancouver. He is 1-4-1 this season with a .847 SV% and 4.11 GAA.

The total opened at 5.5 and hasn’t moved. The juice is on the Under, but the line won’t drop to five. If you expect a goaltending battle, you may still have time to secure a better number.
