The Calgary Flames are on the road tonight for a matchup with the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center.

Nazem Kadri has produced the goods against San Jose this season, and I’ll dive into why I expect that to continue in my Flames vs. Sharks predictions.

Keep reading for my NHL picks for April 7.

Flames vs Sharks prediction

My Flames pick: Nazem Kadri Over 0.5 assists (+125 at BET99)

My Flames analysis
Nazem Kadri is having a fantastic campaign for the Calgary Flames, leading the way with 60 points. He’s scored 31 times and also tallied 29 helpers in 76 appearances. Calgary is still realistically in the mix for a Wild Card spot, and Kadri’s production will be important in their chase of the playoffs.

The 34-year-old has just four assists in his last 10 games. However, there’s reason to believe he could be a contributor tonight. In two games against San Jose this season, Kadri has one goal and four assists. The Sharks are also one of the league's worst teams across the board.

Kadri also had an assist in his most recent game against the Golden Knights on Saturday night. Historically, the Sharks are a team Kadri typically plays well against. In 32 career contests, he’s supplied 20 helpers. The veteran will get involved tonight offensively as Calgary eyes a much-needed win.

Flames vs Sharks same-game parlay (SGP)

Nazem Kadri Over 0.5 assists

Jonathan Huberdeau Over 1.5 shots

Flames moneyline

Jonathan Huberdeau is the co-star alongside Kadri in Calgary, scoring 27 goals and compiling 31 assists this season. We’ll focus on his attempts on goal here, as he's cashed his shots on target Over in three of his last four and eight of his last 10.

The 31-year-old has five SOG in two appearances against the Sharks this season, and San Jose allows the most shots on target in the league per game at 31.6. Huberdeau shouldn’t have any issues mustering up a couple of opportunities tonight at the very least.

The Flames have a lot to play for right now, and they’re 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. They’ve won four straight against San Jose and have gone 9-1 in the previous 10 meetings with the lowly Sharks.

San Jose, meanwhile, has lost five straight. Calgary will extend its win streak against the Sharks, with their top two guys doing their part, as we discussed in the rest of the SGP.
