The New York Rangers had a very ugly showing yesterday afternoon in Boston, as they fell to the Bruins by the score of 6-3. They have a quick turnaround as they head back home to take on the Vegas Golden Knights, who have lost two straight overtime games.
Both teams are looking to get back in the win column and Jonathan Quick, who should be starting for the Rangers, is still seeking his 400th career win.

My analysis
The New York Rangers had a rough go yesterday in Boston. After what looked like a solid first period, they completely fell apart in the middle frame.
The Rangers have struggled to defend for the majority of the season, and yesterday’s game was a prime example of that. The Rangers are currently allowing the sixth-most high-danger chances per 60 at even strength (12.04).
Jonathan Quick is the expected starter for the Rangers tonight, and the legendary U.S.-born netminder has been sitting on 399 career wins since January 2. Quick has gone 0-1-2 with a .845 SV% with a 5.23 GAA in his last three starts. Those numbers aren’t pretty, but Quick is not fully to blame.
As for the Vegas Golden Knights, their goaltending hasn’t been as sharp as it usually is, either. Adin Hill and Ilysa Samsonov have both skated to a sub .900 SV% since the New Year. Hill is the expected starter for tonight and in his last eight games, he is 3-3-2.
Offensively, the Golden Knights man-advantage has been thriving. Despite being held off the board in the team's most recent game, Vegas has converted on the power play in eight of their last 10 games, and since January 1st they’re boasting a success rate of 36.4%.
Pavel Dorofeyev has been a key contributor on the power play this season, with five goals on the man-advantage in his last 15 games. Other guys that have continued to produce for Vegas are Mark Stone and Tomas Hertl, who have 16 points each in their last 15 games. Jack Eichel has played in one less game but has 16 points as well.
For the Rangers, J.T. Miller was without a doubt their best offensive player yesterday. He led the way with two goals and looked like a perfect fit, but the team just couldn’t keep pucks out of the net.
Look for Vegas to lead the charge as the Over cashes tonight.
Golden Knights vs Rangers same-game parlay (SGP)
Vegas has been a much more consistent team this season and with the Rangers playing on a back-to-back, I like the Golden Knights’ chances. Vegas’ power play has been red-hot and their top two lines have been buzzing as of late. It will be hard for Quick and the Rangers' blueline to keep the Knights off the board.
Eichel has had a monster season and currently has the fourth-most assists in the NHL with 48 in 51 games.
