We’ve got 15 games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including an Atlantic Division showdown between the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs at Amerant Bank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet.
The NHL odds favor Florida but Toronto has been the far better team lately led by the red-hot Mitch Marner. He's been a Panther killer throughout his career and my Maple Leafs vs. Panthers predictions are betting on it happening again tonight.

My Leafs pick
Mitch Marner Over 1.5 points (+145 at Sports Interaction)
My Leafs analysis
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers are heading in opposite directions, as the Buds have won seven of their last eight and the Cats are floundering, losing six of seven.
Two trends that have allowed these streaks to form are bad goaltending on the Panthers' side and a red-hot Mitch Marner for the Leafs.
Marner’s point total is set at 1.5, a number he’s cleared in four straight. He has seven multi-point games in his last eight games without Auston Matthews in the lineup. He’s clicked with his new linemates John Tavares and Bobby McMann, averaging 5.54 goals per 60 minutes of play together, per MoneyPuck.
The Leafs star winger has always had success against Florida throughout his career. He’s recorded at least one point in nine of the last 10 meetings and has 17 total points over that stretch, with four games of 2+.
The Panthers have relied on strong goaltending for the last two years but are still waiting for Sergei Bobrovsky to return to his typical Vezina self. As a team, the Panthers have the third-worst save percentage in the NHL and are allowing 3.45 goals per game (28th), mainly due to Officer Bob’s horrid start, sporting a 3.18 GAA and an .885 SV%.
His career numbers against the Maple Leafs haven't been much better either during his time in Florida. In eight regular-season starts against Toronto, Bobrovsky has allowed 4+ goals five times.
Plus, the Panthers defense took a big hit over the offseason, losing Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Brandon Montour. They’re still trying to find steady replacements for those departed pieces.
Additionally, the Toronto power play has been red-hot over the last eight games, operating at 32%. Of the 10 PPG’s scored in that stretch, Marner has factored into 80% of them. Meanwhile, Florida’s PK has been ice cold, killing off just 72% of their penalties in that same stretch.
That should give Marner an even bigger chance to collect his 2+ points tonight.
Maple Leafs vs Panthers same-game parlay (SGP)
For the first leg of our SGP, we’ll take Marner to record 2+ shots on net. He’s hit that number in five of the last seven games with his new linemates and seems to be playing with a lot more confidence in his shot right now.
Next, I like William Nylander to score anytime. Florida is in a funk and has given up 4+ goals in five of seven. Nylander is Toronto's leading goal scorer and has a goal in five of his last eight. He also might be reuniting with Auston Matthews tonight, which has been a very formidable scoring duo over the last few years together, as the pair has averaged 4.15 goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5.
Finally, with the Leafs being underdogs tonight, I’ll take advantage of the puck line and grab them at +1.5. They're well-rested and playing strong hockey.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are struggling to score and can't keep pucks out of their net. That’s not a good combo when taking on a stingy Leafs squad that is 14-7 ATS.
