Best NHL Player Props Today for Jan. 27: Stack Attack

In a game that could see a ton of scoring, Josh Inglis is stacking the Penguins' Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell with the Sharks' Macklin Celebrini and William Eklund. That and more in tonight's best NHL player props.

The NHL’s role in the betting stage is on the rise with just one more NFL game on the schedule. The Hockey gods are actually giving bettors a decent five-game slate tonight with some decent stacks to choose from.

The Los Angeles Kings’ top line is paying a great price to point today vs. the Detroit Red Wings, I'm back on the St. Louis Blues, and I love some goals in the nightcap in San Jose.

These are my three favorite NHL player props for Monday, January 27.

NHL prop picks and best bets for January 27

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Anze Kopitar + Adrian Kempe Over 0.5 points each (+140 at bet365)

Very few double stacks have been as consistent and profitable as Adrian Kempe and Anze Kopitar. Sadly, it’s usually a prop that is priced around even money, which isn’t a great buy-point for me. Luckily today, the pair is somehow +140 for a point at bet365. I would still bet them at +125 or better in this matchup where the Kings can score at 5-on-5 and/or on the power play.

The Detroit Red Wings are likely rolling with Cam Talbot, who has won seven of his last eight games but hasn’t put up elite numbers over that stretch (2.72 GAA and a .906 SV%). I’m not expecting a ton of goals here as neither offense is in great form, but Kempe/Kopitar is an auto-buy at +125 or better for me and this matchup is neutral-to-favorable. The Los Angeles Kings have not had a ton of puck luck of late but that trend is bound to turn as their expected metrics suggest.

Jordan Kyrou + Dylan Holloway + Brayden Schenn Over 0.5 points (+350 at bet365)

The Vancouver Canucks might be coming off a spirited 2-1 win over the Capitals on the weekend, but the schedule has them setting off on a lengthy trip to Missouri tonight before heading to Nashville and Dallas over five days. It’s a low-totaled game that is boosting the point props and if you’ve followed my NHL picks before, you know my adoration for this St. Louis Blues top line.

I love targeting first lines at home more than on the road and the Canucks have the worst goal differential in January. The Blues can score 4+ goals tonight and backing the triple stack of Jordan Kyrou, Dylan Holloway, and Brayden Schenn for +350 is my favorite full-line stack of the day. Kyrou and Holloway are the preferred double if three is too much for you, and it pays +166 at DraftKings — or +252 if you add the Blues’ ML.

The Canucks are still a fade team in my books going forward and the extra out of getting an empty-net point to finish off the stack by choosing the winning team is always another out.

Sidney Crosby + Rickard Rakell + Macklin Celebrini + William Eklund Over 0.5 points each (+400 at bet365)

This is my favorite game for goals tonight. The Pittsburgh Penguins still have one of the worst goals-against averages in hockey with a 3.50 GAA this month (29th) while the San Jose Sharks sit dead last with a 4.05 GAA in January. It’s also a game that will feature two bottom-six penalty kills over the last 30 days, What does that all add up to? A solid spot for a double-double stack.

The Penguins are thin up front with the injuries to Bryan Rust (questionable) and Evgeni Malkin (questionable). Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell could play big minutes tonight.

On the other side, it's nice to get a Macklin Celebrini point market, which I’m pairing with his 5-on-5 and PP1 linemate William Eklund. The double-double is +400 and a buy to +325. The Sharks have played in some wild games of late as their last four have seen a total of 41 combined goals scored. This Over 6.5 might take more money today as each team could score 3+ goals tonight. I used my 30% boost at bet365 on this prop, as well.

Don't forget to add the Will Smith and Fabian Zetterlund stack for another +350.
