My Senators analysis
It’s been a powerful season for the Ottawa Senators, but things are about to get serious for this organization.

Things haven’t gone all that well for them since the beginning of February, as they’re 4-5-1 in their last 10 games, but yesterday, they decided to shake things up at the trade deadline and move on from some of their younger players in Josh Norris and Jacob Bernard-Docker.

They brought in another younger guy in Dylan Cozens, hoping he can find his game in Ottawa's potent offense.

Ottawa’s defense and goaltending have been weak over the past 10 games. During this span, it's giving up 3.50 goals against per game, which is the 10th most in the league, and Linus Ullmark has not been at the top of his game.

One of the major reasons the Senators are allowing this many goals against is their struggles on the penalty kill, which is at a 68.8% success rate in this span.

On the flip side, the Senators' roster has a view of guys producing at a solid clip. Tim Stutzle, Jake Sanderson, Drake Batherson, and Brady Tkachuk have led the way.

Stutzle has 15 points in his last 10 games, Sanderson has added 13 points in that same span, Batherson has contributed nine points, and Tkachuk has eight points in eight games.

They’ve been filling the net, but they’ve also been giving up a lot. Expect more of the same tonight.

Senators vs Rangers odds analysis

The Senators and New York Rangers have had some intense battles as of late, and this afternoon’s game should be no different as both teams are fighting for their lives to get into the playoffs.

Ottawa is the slight favorite thanks to home-ice advantage and will look to pick up a key two points. As for the total, it opened at a flat six and still hovers between that and 5.5.
