Jake Oettinger has been the best netminder in the Western Conference during the postseason, and our NHL picks think the Over on his save total makes for a great leg in our Stars vs. Oilers SGP.

Best Stars vs Oilers SGP for Wednesday

Matt Duchene anytime goalscorer

Leon Draisaitl Over 2.5 shots

Jake Oettinger Over 27.5 saves

The Dallas Stars’ equal-opportunity offense could be difficult to pinpoint when a certain player might strike, but the risk — and juice — is worth it for Matt Duchene.

The veteran is one of 11 stars who have tallied at least twice in the postseason, and he was one of the eight forwards who posted at least 21 goals in the regular season.

Duchene has tied his longest scoring drought of the playoffs, going pointless in the first three games against the Edmonton Oilers. This is from a guy who posted two goals and five points against them in the regular season. It's a long-shot breakout bid I really like.

After lighting the Kings and Canucks on fire for eight goals and 24 points in 12 games, Leon Draisaitl has been held to a single goal across three games against Dallas.

However, he’s still generating chances, with at least three shots on goal in two games and posting two shots in another. With a line set at 2.5 for Game 4, expect the Oilers’ center to continue to put pucks to the net.

That ties into the final leg of this SGP involving Jake Oettinger. The Stars’ netminder has been a wall against Edmonton through the first three games, stopping 90 of a possible 97 shots (.928 SV%). Oettinger has made at least 28 saves in each of the first three games, with the Oilers averaging over 32 shots in the series.

In a must-win situation, the Dallas netminder should be under siege from a desperate Edmonton side and again come through with enough saves to keep his team in it — and to make you a winner!
