My analysis
Bayern Munich entered the week one spot ahead of Real Madrid, which sounds good, but they’re sat in 17th, six points behind the top with just 12 points left to play for. Only the Top 8 qualify automatically, with teams ranked ninth to 24th out of the 36 teams going into a playoff.
That’s bad news for PSG, who are currently sitting 25th. They have a tough game against Bayern followed by two games on the road at Salzburg and Stuttgart, either side of a home game against Man City. They need to start picking up points now.
After winning their first Champions League game, we’ve seen the French side lose two and draw once, with the biggest issue being that they’ve given up at least one goal in each of those games, with two to Arsenal and Atletico. That’s bad news away to Bayern Munich, especially with Harry Kane in incredible form.
This weekend saw Harry Kane score a hat-trick against Augsburg to become the fastest player to score 50 goals in Bundesliga history. His numbers are incredible, given he’s not even at the halfway mark of his second season in Germany.
He has 14 goals in 11 Bundesliga games, another goal in the DFB-Pokal, and five in four Champions League games. It doesn’t matter who he plays or where; he's almost always on the scoresheet, and the 31-year-old is showing why he’s the best striker on the planet.

We’re also going to back Bayern Munich to win. They haven’t been their best in Europe this season but they’ve won both games on home soil and have depth in quality. That should be enough to see them secure three points.
With that said, I expect both teams to score. While Bayern have won two of their four games, they’ve notably conceded at least one goal in three of them. With PSG on the outside looking in when it comes to qualification for the knockouts, they’ll be throwing everything forward, desperate to pick up points, which should mean goals for both sides.
