My analysis
Saturday’s final Premier League game gives us an interesting battle between Everton and Fulham. The visitors come into this having lost two games in a row, and that saw them enter the matchweek 10th in the Premier League, after a great start to the season.
That’s in stark contrast to Everton, who started the season in serious trouble. They lost four games in a row and it looked like Sean Dyche might be the first manager to be sacked this season. However, the Merseyside club have turned it around and are now four games unbeaten with two wins and a pair of draws. That’s pushed them comfortably safe from relegation, for now at least, but they need to keep up this excellent spell of form.
The catalyst for this Everton run has been one of their established players who has really come into his own this season. That man is Dwight McNeil, who worked with Dyche at their previous club Burnley. The 24-year old is the subject of my best bet for this game, which is McNeil have one or more shots on target.
He was a regular in his first two seasons at the club, contributing but rarely being the best player on the park. He racked up 10 goals across those two campaigns and assisted on another nine.
So far, just eight games into this new season, he has three goals and three assists to his name. He’s playing at the best level of his career so far and is arguably one of the Premier League’s form players and if he can sustain this level, so he might get himself in contention for an international call-up.
It's been McNeil’s move into the central area of the field that has sparked this improvement in form. Previously, at both Everton and Burnley, he was used largely on the wing, using his speed to beat defenders. Now he’s more central and it’s giving him license to get more involved in play. He operates behind the striker and can really contribute from there. His passing and shooting both seem have taken a leap this season, and he’s dangerous when he’s near the opposition box.
He’s scored 0.38 goals per 90 minutes played with 0.76 shots on target. Given Fulham’s struggles in recent weeks, there’s a real chance we’ll see McNeil get a shot on target here. He’s taking 1.9 shots per game and will cause Fulham trouble, especially with Sasa Lukic missing from the heart of their midfield.

I'm supercharging my best bet for the game and backing McNeil to find the back of the net against Fulham. He’s been so dangerous in front of goal and has two goals in his past three games.
Then I'm going to back Everton to win. This is a team who are picking up momentum and is in form compared to Fulham. Having the loud crowd of Goodison Park behind them will only help, and they should be able to get three points.
I'm also backing Under 2.5 goals. Neither of these sides are hugely prolific. Fulham have scored 11 times in eight games, while Everton are averaging just over one goal per game with nine in eight. It should be a narrow win for the Toffees.
