Spurs welcome Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Saturday’s final Premier League game, with both sides performing above expectations. Spurs enter the weekend third in the table and only four points off the top spot, with Everton 12th and looking upwards instead of down.
Will Spurs be able to get closer to that top spot, with Arsenal and Man City both not playing until Sunday, or will Everton continue their impressive start?

Tottenham vs Everton picks and predictions
At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, we’re going to get a fascinating clash between Spurs and Everton, with both teams coming into this game with hopes of getting something from the fixture.
Spurs are just four points behind leaders and hated rivals Arsenal and a win here would get them within one point of the summit, with Arsenal playing a day later on Sunday. Meanwhile, Everton will be hoping to improve their position from 12th in the Premier League, and in truth, they deserve it.
The key signings to Frank Lampard’s success have been Conor Coady and James Tarkowski. Adding two experienced Premier League defenders, both captains at their former clubs, has added a huge amount of knowledge and confidence to the team.
Alongside Coady and Tarkowski there’s another signing that has hugely improved the team, that of 21-year-old Belgian, Amadou Onana. The young midfielder was highly rated at Lille and has really settled in the Premier League.
Onana has incredible physical attributes, with his strength and speed so crucial in the position, but he’s impressed further with his smart play. His reading of the game has made him an interception machine and helped his tackling ability.
Onana is a huge talent and one who really looks perfect for the Premier League. That said he’s already picked up three yellow cards in just six starts, plus two more from the bench.
Sometimes, his eagerness to tackle can result in bookings, and with the speed and guile of the Spurs attack likely to leave him chasing the ball at times that will be an issue.
Dejan Kulusevski is likely to return to the Spurs lineup, and alongside Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, it means there’s a high chance we see the young Belgian get his name in the books, especially with Paul Tierney in charge of refereeing the game. Tierney has averaged 4.43 yellow cards per game in his seven appearances and added two red cards too.
My best bet: Amadou Onana to get booked (+200 at FanDuel)

Tottenham vs Everton side analysis
Spurs are strong favorites to win the game with odds around -223. Those odds imply a 69% chance that Tottenham take home the three points, which is probably about right. Spurs will be without Emerson Royal and most likely Richarlison but they’ll be boosted by the return of Kulusevski.
Tottenham’s front three of Kane, Son, and Kulusevski can cause any team problems, and Everton’s experienced backline will need every bit of their experience to defend against them.
Spurs haven’t been the most exciting team to watch this year and they’ll continue to play in Antonio Conte’s preferred 3-4-3, with wing-backs on either side of the three centerbacks, and looking to join attacks where possible.
In the middle, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur will battle against Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Idrissa Gueye, and Amadou Onana.
Everton’s front three of Dwight McNeil, Neal Maupay, and Demarai Gray are a capable attack but they should struggle against Conte’s setup. Everton have been hugely improved this season but I still think they’re a little naïve at times and will struggle against Spurs here.
I’m expecting the North London team to get the three points but with such short odds, it’s probably worth avoiding as a bet.
Tottenham vs Everton Over/Under analysis
Through four games on the road, Frank Lampard’s Everton have only hit Over 2.5 goals in 50% of their games, but it’s worth noting that there have been at least two goals in each game, even when the Over hasn’t been met.
The Over 2.5 goals mark has been smashed in three of the four games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season and Spurs come into this game on the back of a 3-2 victory at home in the Champions League too.
I’d probably lean towards the Over 2.5 goals here but I wouldn’t be confident enough to wager on it with my own money, so I won’t suggest you do either.
