Perry vs Means Betting Preview

"Platinum" Mike Perry is probably best known for his controversial antics including punching out people in bar fights, casually dropping homophobic and racist slurs, and having his girlfriend as the only person in his corner for his most recent fight against Mickey Gall in July.

Perry actually won that fight against Gall by unanimous decision, improving his record to 3-5 over his last eight fights. Platinum is an aggressive fighter with power in his hands, as 11 of his 14 career wins have come by knockout.

Tim "The Dirty Bird" Means is fresh off a unanimous decision victory against Laureano Staropoli in August and has alternated wins and losses over his last six fights. The 36-year-old has 44 pro MMA bouts under his belt and turned his life around after battling through addiction issues and a prison sentence early in his career.

Means has a background in boxing and prefers to keep fights standing up, landing 4.87 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.44.

Perry vs Means UFC Prediction and Betting Pick

PREDICTION: Means to win +116 - This should be a fun fight between a pair of aggressive, high-volume strikers and there is certainly an argument to be made for either fighter. Perry is younger and has the edge in power, while Means is the more polished striker and has a four-inch reach advantage.

However, Means also has the superior defense, which could prove crucial if this fight becomes a brawl. That gives Dirty Bird the slightest of advantages as a slim underdog.
