@handycat Thanks friend, I am routing for you too. I'm not feeling 100% so I am not posting much and decided against In-game thread since Chef is MIA Anyways, I am hedging out of my under 50 bet with another bet of over 48 offered at pinny right now. Probably shouldn't and let the under ride since their is swirling winds and Harris got roughed up a bit at the end of the half so his play might not be as stellar. However, not sure why I took totals to begin with so when given the opportunity to get out. I did. So I am hoping the game total is 49. That would be just ducky....
Rooting!!! Come on Pirate. I know you can't spell worth shit but "routing".... really? What a loser.

Bo Levi needs to be No Levi… 3 turnovers. A fumble cost them points and 2 BAD picks. Hamilton D actually playing quite well but tough to overcome Bo Levi if you’re Hamilton…

Hamilton +3 (I bought the hook and paid -137 for this pick)
Hamilton over 10.5 first half
under 50 for game
Hamilton is +17.5 (in-game)
Over 48 (hedging out of initial bet)
2-4
Total: 11-12
I heard Hammy was the play since Sask had soooo many injuries and it Hammy lost last week. Yadda yadda yadda. On to a positive. I might be down a game but at the start of the weekend, I was down 3 -7 so I can't complain. I can do better though. Same with Chef. I might just tail every pick of Chef's next week because I believe in him. But I believe in myself too to be at least a 55% kind of guy.
NO MONEY, NO GLORY, BUT ALWAYS IN THE GAME.

When Sask scored, the total was 49. I had under 50 but hedged at half to 48.5. There was little time left so I was thinking.... "is it possible?" Then the kicker kicks it through the endzone. NOPE, not possible. I am just glad Hamilton did get a score and I won my 17.5.
Next week, I am thinking of having a Chef weekend. Tailing every pick and making a feast. Chef is due.... However, if I really really disagree with a pick, then I will go with the gut. But if I am wishy washy. Chef will be the man. Lets see how that works. Like I said, Chef is pissed. He is a good capper. He is a phoenix.

I thought of you when that kick off went through the end zone which broke my 49. I was disappointed but a little happy for my friend "Little John".
Some people need to learn that you never win in life alone. Winners have a support network. It would be nice if the guys here bought in and supported each other. Like a team. Instead of me just betting blindly, I think I will present my leans and allow my friends to tell me why I might be brilliant or might be an idiot. Maybe that will be the little push over the top to the winning side. We'll see.
Have a good week guys.

hi piratesgold, yes I knew that the over impacted alot of people and I wish we all could have won. It's a wild ride, playing totals in the CFL. There are so many moving parts. Hoping that all of our "miracle wins" outnumber our bad beats, in the long run.

Might as well post this here. Grabbed this parlay right now. All moneyline: Columbia / Phillies / Red Sox / Royals $120 pays out $685. I'm avoiding game 7 hockey. No idea who wins or the total.
I was all gung-ho for the oilers game. I had Oilers to win and the under 5.5. What I cared most about was Oilers winning the cup. They failed. No excuses.
I seen your post early Little John and didn't know what Columbus team you were talking to but in support, I thought I would put a little scratch on the 3 mlb team parlay. I thought Red sox were dead so never paid much attention. However, the parlay hit!!! Thanks Johnnie.
It will sting for quite some time that Oilers loss. I don't think I have enough liquor in the cabinet to ease the suffering. It is equivalent to experiencing a death. My sadness runs deep. It was nice to hit the parlay from a "team-mate" though. My twenty dollars turned into sixty seven dollars. But money means nothing really.... Like everything, it all belongs to God anyways. But, thanks Johnnie for the play. That smile was hard to muster up.

Hi. Super glad that you grabbed that parlay ! Columbia was Copa soccer. The Jays are an auto-fade for me. I wasn't thrilled when they had that big inning but I just knew they'd find a way to lose it. Tomorrow's starting pitchers point to a continuation of the Jay's losing streak.

So John, if what you say is correct, then a person should take the sox for the 1st half? That should be the play? Is that the play of the day?

Here is my take on tonight. When you have built in excuses in the back of your mind, then you lose. BC has VA's injury to point at. Edmonton has a lousy record so it is the perfect script to take the night off. I am taking the Elk.
11 -12
Elk +7 -110 (bought 1/2 point)
Edmonton +13.5 and Over 45.5 (This is Ice's 7 point teaser that I am tailing since I like it)
Watching the debate so not sure of any in-game wagering.

Live line? I bet there is. My friend is still crying over 2020 betting on Trump and losing. He goes on and on.... However, even though I don't like the arrogant Trump, he is better than Biden. But that is just my opinion so please don't attack me if you are a democrat. This is a sports thread. I rather keep talk on sports and here, the CFL.

Yup. He needs to get jack up like state of the union...trump came prepare.
I agree Cat. But lets not piss off people by talking politics. I think Covers is a liberal site so it is best to
This is what we have become. Afraid of saying the wrong thing and getting banned or cancelled. Covers censors. MSM censors. Canadian government made laws to punish people with opposition views. Lawfare is real.

Today, I will be watching the game along with watching the UFC. I use to get so excited and list my UFC picks during the fights but nobody was interested. This isn't a UFC forum so I have stopped on my own accord. So I will enjoy the UFC in silence since UFC forum is silent too..
Except for a slight breeze, the weather seems to be perfect for football in Calgary. Calgary is rested up and ready to go. Calgary's defensive hawk, Demerio came over from Winnipeg and knows the subtleties of Winnipeg's offence. The thing to note is that Calgary has the worst run defence in the league and with Winnipeg missing key receivers and having one of the best runners getting healthy, why would Winnipeg be throwing more than running? I say Calgary needs to show up and stop Oliveira and force the pass but with the worst run defence, that might be hard to do. However, Calgary has statistically the 4th best offence (Winnipeg last) and that is with Jake Maier as quarterback. Last year, I used Maier as my whipping boy since he stunk in my opinion. With Philpot back and looking good (I really am cheering for that guy) maybe Maier won't look as bad this year. Nahhh, he will! LOL. Now they say Dedrick Mills is motivated by death of cousin and best friend.
Winnipeg has a ton of injuries and their once great defence have been torched. No Lawler or Schoen so why is Winnipeg the favorite here? Based on the past. However, I am interested in seeing how 'Peg's WR Johnson does today. He talks the talk but does he walk the walk? He was cut by USFL so he isn't great but why I am interested is because I want to see how he responds. Also, as we all witnessed last week, Olivera is a game changer. He was not 100% so limited in carries but you could tell this beast loves to eat.
I think I heard in an interview that the last 9 games between these teams were close. Decided by 6 points? Might want to fact check that since my memory is pickled by all the beer I drink. Point is they were close with Winnipeg winning 9 out of 10 of the games. Even though weather will be nice, I believe Winnipeg is going to attack Calgary's run defence. Also, Mills from Calgary is going to be yelling for the ball a lot. That means a lot of running and possible punting. So if you like totals, I think there is a chance of it going under but totals aren't my thing.
My Pick:
7 point parlay teaser, Calgary +10.5 plus Under 54.5
Possible in game wagers if I am not overly engaged in UFC
Good luck all.
