NCST - When I look at this years team I have to think dark-horse. This team really looked like a different team the last 6 games of the season and to me was the most improved team in the ACC as the season grew. Question is can they compete vs Clemson and FSU. I think the answer is no. The problem I see going into this season is skill players on offense. I'm not saying they dont have a few guys who can make some plays, im talking about game changers. Does this team have a few " hold your breath guys "? No. But I think they will play very well as a unit. Mike Glennon will have to carry his team this season. They lose some key senior leadership from last years team and need to prove some things before I think there a legit contender in the Atlantic. Another huge question is can these guys run the ball? Is it just me or has it been a long time since NCST has a guy who could carry the rock? With the backs I see right now with Washington and Creecy, I just dont see it. The first game of the season between NCST and Tennessee is going to be a great game. Why? I think you can make the argument that both schools are the most improved teams maybe from there conference coming into the year. As of now, I cant say who I think will win that game. Schedule wise, @ Miami, FSU, @ Clemson all will be very tough games for these guys. Sprinkle in a few games they shouldn't lose, like to BC in Late November and I think were looking at a 7-5 maybe 8 - 4 type team.

Maryland - Man did this team suck out loud or what last season? Here is the thing, I like Randy Edsall. I think the guy is exactly what Maryland needed. I know it didn't show up in wins and loses his first season but sometimes you have to get rid of the bad apples in order to move forward. Now, what can this team do to improve from last year? Well for one they need to stay healthy. This team was riddled with injury's last year and it showed up especially in the 2nd half of games when the depth became a issue. This years team will struggle to compete in the ACC but should show a huge improvement. I'm not sold on C.J Brown the Passer yet and with good reasons. The back field is almost non existent. They dont return any player other than C.J with some serious experience. Defensively they return all their top defenders. Is that a good thing? JK. It has to help, I mean my goodness this group was as bad as it could get. I look at the schedule and I see where the opportunity to win some early games could really help this team move forward with some confidence. The should start the year 3-0 with a beatdown revenge vs temple. @ W.V, G.T, @Clemson, FSU, @ UNC almost look like games where they could take a beating. But with that said, I m thinking these guys could slip into a 6-6 record possibly and move into a bowl game like whogivesashit.com bowl in middle of no where Kentucky.
Boston College - Every year it seems like it gets harder and harder to gauge this team. I try my best to complement them and say yeah, this group is a hard working blue collar team that will fight you to the end. What happens? They shit the bed and lay a huge goose egg for the year. Then one year I say well, this group sucks a big one and then they go out and beat about 4 teams they no business doing and make me look like a idiot. So this year I m gonna say this. Go eat shit BC!! JK!!! A few things pop out when looking at this team for me. One they return a ton of experience almost everywhere. The OL, back field, WR, QB, you name it, they have experience coming back. Now they do lose what I think is one of the three greatest LB's of my generation at the college level, Luke Kuechly. But BC has had a way to take players and put them into their system and keep trucking along. The other thing is the schedule. IMO, its brutal. Start the year with Miami a few weeks later they travel to Northwestern then go through a 4 game stretch where they will probably play 3 teams ranked in the top 20. Clemson, FSU and G.T. sprinkle in a late season game with N.D and this schedule has no breaks to it at all. Getting to 6-6 is possible but tough with this schedule. I say that, now they go 9-3 and win the Division. Seriously tho, I still think their just in a situation where their talent just isn't as good as most of the teams there playing.

Wake Forest - Jim Grobe IMO year in and year out is one of the most underrated coaches in he country. His ability to get the most out of his players is second to none. This years team is going to be another challenge. They have lost a ton of experienced guys especially on the offensive side of the ball. One main area of concern has to be the OL. Their already undersized as a unit but now they have to deal with fact that they have almost no experience as a group. Tanner price and Micheal Campanaro should be a very nice combo. Micheal is the ideal slot guy who gives DC headaches. The defense should improve although they do lose their top two tacklers from a year ago. The schedule is favorable considering. The UNC I think is a winnable game for these guys for a few reasons. Wake plays tough at home and their catching this new offense from UNC at a good time, early. @ FSU, @ N.D, are games where they dont have much of a chance. The home game on a Thursday night vs Clemson could be a trap for Clemson. All in all I think this is one of the more easier schedules in the ACC. I do think Grobe will get the most from his players and find away back to bowl game. I know projected these guys for a 6-6 BC finish.....But conventional wisdom says they will overachieve.
UNC - This team im picking to be sorta what Clemson was last season, a surprise team. A new dynamic offense brought in by a great offensive mind in Larry Fedora. I think these guys have the pieces to compete and win the coastal this season, only one problem, their not bowl eligible. So whats this teams motivation? In college sports you never no what the expectations and motivations from 18 - 22 year old kids are. With that saying, I think these guys will be either two things. One a bunch of pissed off individuals who want to prove something or just a bunch of typical laid back baby blue candy asses who really cant wait for basketball to come around. As a UNC hater, I hope they lose every F*king game they play from now until the end of time, but hey, you never know. Bryn Renner is a decent QB who did OK in his first year but had some moments where he really just looked lost. These guys have a tremendous back in Giovani Bernard. If you dont know him you will. All the guy did as a freshman last year was run for over 1200 yds and catch 45 passes and score 14 td's. The guy really looks like Darren Sprolles to me. Short low to the ground with power and skill to give defenses a huge problem. Defensively UNC has been funding the NFL every year for awhile now. I think again this group will be a salty group who will make plays and look dynamic and at times look disinterested. Overall I think if this group plays to their potential they could scratch a 10 win season but reality says 7 to 8 wins sounds about right. The schedule is a typical easy slot as it is every year with the favorable ACC administration. Basically as I do every year with this team I say this whole heartily....Go to hell baby blue.

G.T - Here we go guys. I know this board hates this Jekyll and Hyde team. Lord knows they laid a bunch of moose games and why we continue to bet on them, who knows. I know this, I think Paul Johnson is a tremendous coach and he can run that offense like only one other coach i've ever seen ( Tom Osborne ). Before you knuckleheads start with the whole Osborne ran the Bone..... I know you dumbass, the Option is many things with all the same principles. Anyways moving on. This years team again is loaded on offense. They bring back a experienced OL,QB and A & B backs. Tevin Washington to me just doesn't have the great instincts a option QB should have. He reminds of the typical 20 to 20 QB. What that means is he can lead his team from the 20 to the other 20. He just doesn't have leadership to take his team in the endzone at times. He is not a good passer, he cant throw the deep ball and the biggest thing about throwing the ball this season is he has no experienced WR catching it. I know it sounds like im down on this team but im really not. These guys defensively should be pretty decent. They are in year 3 of Al Grohs 3-4 scheme and have developed some depth at all three levels of the defense. Really the biggest thing G.T has going for them is the cream puff schedule they have. @ V.T opening weekend ( which is great time to catch V.T ) @ Clemson and @ Georgia. Thats pretty much the beef of the schedule. Their other key games are at home and they should be favored in them. If things go right I could see these guys really get going and possibly win the coastal and win 10 games. But if this offense starts to stall like it did half way thru last season, they could fall fast yet again.

. THE best wide receiving group in the country ( and that is not debatable ). Sammy Watkins and Nuke Hopkins are absolute beasts. IMO Nuke, actually looked better in the spring.
Justin Hunter, DaRick Rogers, and Corradelle Patterson say hello...Very much debatable IMO

dont steal my thunder man.... im gonna give Tennessee alot of props when I get to them. They are tremendous. but imo.... its still not close. Clemson has the most superior receivers as a group in the country.

Miami - I said it last year and I will say it again this year. Who the hell is making Miami's schedule? WTF!! Why is the schedule so brutal every year? Is it because your the " U "? Do you still have the swag? I mean my goodness, you play @ B.C@Kansas S.T @ G.T then a Neutral site game with N.D all in the first 6 games. If im the Al Golden im telling these nuts to cool it off a little until the " U " becomes the " U " again. Looking at this team you cant deny the talent at all levels. They dont bring back a ton of experienced starters but overall a pretty decent group. Golden is building the school it's just gonna take some time, hell these guys have had no direction for almost 7 or 8 years now. The offense is you typical Pro style attack who demands the ability to run the ball and play good defense. These guys are not interested in playing a up and down the field ( aka.. Big 12 ) game. they wont to impose their will on you and physically beat your brains in. They have some good pieces but most of all they have a huge OL. These guys are averaging about 320 and are sitting at about anywhere from 6'4 to 6'8. If Miami can run the ball down your throat they will trust me. This will set up beautifully for attacking you with the deep ball. Defensively your looking at one of the best secondary's in the entire country. There experienced and are hyper talented, but hell when isn't Miami talented? Overall the direction of the program IMO is headed back in the right direction. AL Golden at first IMO wasn't the guy to change this underachieving program, but the guy is growing on me and I think if given time he can change this team and program and wake the sleeping giant. As far as record is concerned, I cant say that this is the year they break through. I think were about another year away. With this tough schedule and a team who is still trying to change there identity I think 7 maybe 8 wins is the ceiling for this group. But if your a Miami fan hold your head up, the best is yet to come.

V.T - I know I may get a ton of hate for this next analysis but like I say, I call it like I see it. IMO this may be one the most mediocre teams that V.T has put on the field in many years. The reason I feel this way is because when I look at this team where are the weapons? Yeah we know about Logan Thomas, which btw is a freak of a talent but imo may be a tad overrated. Will he blossom into a Cam Newton type super athlete? Who knows, I know this, you cant throw it to yourself, you cant run all the time by yourself, and you cant block by yourself. The OL has little to NO experience. The receiving group is led by a couple of guys who just being honest, isn't that good. I mean there good receivers for maybe Memphis or somebody like Duke. Where is the " Plug in anybody " running back V.T is accustom to having? I know there hoping the freshman comes in and becomes lightning in a bottle. But hell, you cant rely on things like that when your a program like V.T. you expect more and better depth. Now defensively this group is going to be really salty. Very good and very deep on all three levels of the defense. But as I have said many times before, you can destroy your good defense if you keep them on the damn field all game. You cant tell me that " Beamer Ball " will keep you in games. Really? Since when? You guys haven't played " Beamer Ball " in a few years now. Overall when I look at this team I see a team who will struggle to live up to expectations there use to having. G.T will beat these guys on Labor day night. Sorry if you dont like that but its gonna happen. The Pitt game is 50 / 50, They will lose to @ UNC and @ Clemson. Miami is a 50 / 50 game. Having FSU @ home on a Thursday night maybe the game that saves there season and helps them feel better about themselves. But if you ask me right now I have to say FSU is better in all 3 phases of the game, so your crowd better be the 12th man that night. Don't be shocked to see this team with a 7 - 5 type record.

Virginia - Without a doubt, Virginia is on the rise. I think it's easy to look at this team and see that this is one of the best turnarounds in the country. Virginia was completely horrible under Al Grogh. For what I've seen in the past two years ( the progression that is ) I think Mike London is a good football coach. This years team actually has some pretty good returning pieces to it. Micheal Rocco really turned it on the later part of the season and started to " look the Part ". What is that called? Coaching. Perry Jones is a very shifty running back who can easily get lost behind a big offensive line. The one thing I think you can look at and wonder is the receivers. Some decent guys here but none that really stand out. I really think this years team will be decided by this offensive line. They have some guys returning and if they can gel I think with this pro style attack that London likes to run they can have a good year offensively. Now understand when I say good I dont mean light the scoreboard up and score 45 points a game. London isn't concerned with scoring a ton of points. He wants to control the clock and run the ball and basically, slow the game down. Defensively i like this group with the exception of the secondary. Why? They just dont have a ton of experience. I like the first two levels with the DL and LB... But I expect that London will have to play more zone to protect that suspect secondary. He knows he cant leave these guys in a lot of one on one situations. As far as the schedule goes They go through a 3 game stretch early where I cant see them winning no more than one of those games. Penn S.T @ G.T @ TCU. IMO, they lose all three but will really takeoff and start to do well towards the middle and late part of the year. This might be the year they beat V.T. Again, I know that doesn't sound right but I think it's possible. IMO they cant win the coastal. They can compete and make that next stride as a program towards doing that, but this isn't the year they do it. Overall I see 7-5 as a good season at worst 6-6 and if things fall right 8-4.

Duke - For all you nerds out there I will talk Duke for a minute. David Cutcliffe is doing about as good a job that can be done at Duke. Whats surprising is he has actually went 59-62 in 5 years. Thats kind of amazing if you think about it. These guys are bad year in and year out, not Kansas S.T bad of the 70's and 80's but still bad. If these guys were to ever break through and find there way into a bowl game this would be the season. The bring back a ton of guys. Offensively they have a pretty decent attack with Sean Renfree and Conner Vernon. If you guys dont know who Conner Vernon is then get to know him. Actually the guy may be one of the better polished receivers around. Defensively again they bring back guys everywhere with a experienced bunch. Does all this experience mean something? Maybe not, Duke is still Duke and we know that because.....well, there Duke. When I look at this schedule I see 3 games I think they can win and about 3 or 4 games they have about 30 to 40 % chance of winning and about 5 or 6 games where it might snow in hell before they win. If you were looking for more from me on this team im sorry. If I've said it once I've said it a million times. Fuck Duke.

Fuck Duke.
HEY BOOM ..dont want to deviate the topic...but---where i can find the lines of week 1, i was reading they are already out in the states..but i cant find the topic...thanks in advance

Georgia 10 - 2 BC 7 - 5 WC Florida 10 - 2 BC 7 - 5 WC Tennessee 9 - 3 BC 7 - 5 WC South Carolina 9 - 3 BC 7 - 5 WC Missouri 8 - 4 BC 6 - 6 WC Vandy 7 - 5 BC 5 - 7 WC Kentucky 6 - 6 BC 3 - 9 WC

LSU 12 - 0 BC 10 - 2 WC Alabama 12 - 0 BC 9 - 3 WC Arkansas 12 - 0 BC 8 - 4 WC Auburn 9 - 3 BC 6 - 6 WC Miss S.T 9 - 3 BC 6 - 6 WC Texas A&M 8 - 4 BC 5 - 7 WC Ole Miss 8 - 4 BC 5 - 7 WC
The west is absolutely loaded yet once again. The top three teams in the west will be better IMO than any team from the east. I think this league comes down to the LSU / Alabama game and right now I think LSU has to have the edge for 2 reasons. Revenge and Home Field. Georgia will win the east by default due to the pathetic schedule and will get destroyed in the Conference Championship game.
up next............... Georgia

any lines you see right now mean nothing unless you can find someone to let you lock in some games. I think it might be best to wait until August before you start to look at betting on some games.
