Allard has been bad all season long . And has been getting bailed out all year. I been telling my boy he’s not a good QB. ND should have lost this game. I do give the coach some of the lost when they were up 10-0 they let up and thought they were up 21-0 . They didn’t have the same fight in them and playing the same .

Fair enough. But he was 3 points away from a National Championship game. I don't even pull for Penn St. But the fact that you guys are running the bus over Franklin after this game is comical

This loss is on Aller and the play caller Koltenecki. You DO NOT play for OT. You pound Allen and find your NFL TE Warren. But the INT is not on Franklin. You don't play for OT with that much time left..not imho.
Come sense

Franklin should've been running the ball at the end. Maybe you break a long one. Notre Dame hadn't stopped the run all night. Stupid play calling by the dumbest big game coach in the country. Doesn't matter though. Irish get curb stomped by Ohio St.

Agree on all points (as usual Boise). Basically said the same exact thing...and I agree winner of tomorrow's game beats ND by 3 Tds

I already explained this. How do people not understand that with a QB like ALLAr who had barely completed half of his passes, threw into triple coverage routinely and should have already had 2 INT if not for two bailout flags...You HAVE to consider the possibility that your quarterback has as good a chance of LOSING the game for u there as winning. The "Play to Win the Game !" chants are so lazy and uniformed. Being aggressive isnt the only way to win a game. Especially if you are Penn State with Drew Allar.

Notre Dame bettor here. Absolutely wrong decision for Franklin to get aggressive there at the end. Same exact thing as Kirby Smart 1H vs Notre Dame. Cost them both the game. Allar was terrible all night. Run the ball. As someone said you owned the trenches. Run the ball, maybe a jet sweep or some sort of trick play, misdirection and hope you rip a big run and then you can start chucking. This was classic James Franklin. Chef's Kiss Mwah
but we’re the idiots here. That someone who said that was me

So is Penn State running the wildcat or triple option in OT since the QB is a liability?

Since win playing for OT is winning football? lol when you have the chance to win the game, you fuckin take it!
No one is saying take a knee....
Run the ball...hope you rip a 10-15 yard run....
and DEF dont throw across the middle....
TERRIBLE.
It's on Franklin. He said himself that HE is the one that directly communicates with Kotelnicky on whether to be conservative or aggressive in situations....Franklin's handprints all over that loss. How people continue to defend this CONSISTENT LOSER is beyond me...
He is not even in this spot if not a gift from the CFP gods with SMU and BOISE....

no you do not, because it was much more likely that what happened would happen than Allar actually driving down the field. He was even pouting and being emotional on the sideline before going on the field. You think he’s just gonna turn that off all of sudden and also forget he was playing like ass and become good? Play to your goddamn strengths especially when your strengths are your opponents weaknesses

Had your team played well in the 3rd n 4th, you wouldn't need that last pick to lay the blame.
I can see how Penn St backers want to play it safe n take that ot. They think in ot n momentum, Penn would of gone to the dance.
At least the game carries onto ot and not depending on an ugly pick to lay the blame game.
It's also a game of luck. Seriously, that 17 unanswered points were the tipping point to my confidence in Norte so you can't say that my ND pick was something I saw it coming either. I'll gladly take the win n moving onto tomorrow.
Ohio State ok? Pumping hella strong
Ohio State to win it all cuz ND already exposed themselves. Ohio State QB what's his face is NFL ready. I hope so.

The guy across the middle was not his first option. He panicked.
Yes he was aggressive. He had plenty of time with multiple timeouts. Nothing wrong with that.

You just said he had a good chance of losing the game. If thats the truth, why are you putting Allar out there at all in OT. Serious question.

Penn St had 140 yards of rushing in the 1st half. Just under 70 in the second half. Notre dame made adjustments on defense.

You keep uninetionally proving my point. It is hilarious. The whole point is you have to account for the possibility that your QB who had been pooping down his leg all game might poop down his leg again when the moment is even bigger. You don't give your incompetent QB a chance to PANIC!

Wow. once again have to school you i guess. BECAUSE you DON"T NEED ALLAR TO WIN IN OT! OT gets you the chance to just ram the ball down ND's throat from inside the 25. jeez dude...
