8.5 to 9 now at most spots--is that movement causing any concern Lu--I like it but it is just a bit worrisome

Lu -- 2 questions:

(1) What do you think is the realistic potential for ECU to win Conference USA? Do they have a legitimate chance in your opinion?

(2) Somewhat based off of #1 -- do you feel like +3000 is a fair futures price for them to win the conference?

Man, chances are tough with Houston on the West side returning nearly everyone. That said, they've dropped some games to C-USA East schools in the recent past, especially those that play tough defense (UCF, ECU just last year).  I think Houston has to be the hands down favorite this season.

+3000...man, I can see ECU getting through the East with some luck.  But again, being able to knock off Houston out of the West in the championship game 2 years in a row is a definite stretch.  I think that 3000 # looks about right.  Might be worth a very small play.

One thing is for sure, these ECU players expect nothing less than to go out and win the championship for the 3rd straight year.  Before ECU doing it last season, no C-USA team had ever won back-to-back Championships.  Back-to-back-to-back is really a reach.

Line could move to 10 shortly.  When it does, I'm doubling down.  ECU thumped Tulsa last year 44-17 at Tulsa, routing them by 27 points.  

What this line is telling you is that Vegas believes ECU is 36 points worse against Tulsa this season at home.

Quite a swing (and a miss) from Vegas.

book believes the public wiill think tulsa is getting all the action and the extra points wont matter.along with the perception e carolina is really down this year.this scares most off the inflated line they dont see.thats how the books stay in business.its like mass suicide.just one of many different ways they manipulate the majority.the key is to get educated on the teams and follow line movements careflully along with following results of those past games.you need to understand books M.O. on the betting public.take advantage of the books taking advantage of the squares.they will let you because they want too make money also.

One of the most INaccurate places out there.. in their predictions:

Colorado 7-5
K state 4-8
Washington 4-8
UGA 10-2
Ole Miss 9-3

Just my opinion.. but one of the worst in terms of predictions and accurate analysis

Could you give me some better sites for predictions. I also use ESPN Scouts INC. What do you think of them?

Whats up LD ?

Do you think this line gets past 10? This is gonna be the first game on sunday, following opening saturday. I'm sure the chasers will already be out and will have not paid much attention to this game since it wasnt on thursday or saturday. Will they run the line up to 10.5 ? Maybe the ML goes up if people are using the Tulsa ML in parlays? Do you think waiting till sunday morning could possibly hurt ? I mean -8 to -9.5 isnt a big deal, but 10 or 10.5 is (and ML increase)....


What do you think the ML will top out at? Maybe +350ish?

that score is a bit deceiving...this was a 6 point game at the end of the 3rd qtr....then ecu opened it up late on 2int return td's and another garbage return td late....ec was +3 to margin in the game...final score doesn't quite tell the whole story there....just some thoughts

Some of the sharpest groups in Vegas have slammed Tulsa at -7.  Not sure if they are planning a middle or what, but that is the reason for the line movement out here.

Very good point-And the takeaway game was ECU's bread and butter last year.  Tulsa will be out for some revenge come Sept. 5th

TRAIN69, I expect this thread to be one of the most viewed threads of week 1 because of the reasons you stated above.  Even those who won will want a Sunday game for some icing.

I can see this line moving over 10 shortly.  Just follow me and try not to concern yourself with the line movement.  ECU covering in this spot is the right play.
