Just to bring everyone up to speed on the week that was with North Texas - they set a record - BIGGEST SLAUGHTER FCS team over an FBS team - lost to Portland St 66-7 at home scoring in the final minute to avoid the shutout 
........Our fav part of this story ??? NORTH TEXAS PAID $425,000 TO PORTLAND ST TO GET THEIR TEETH KICKED IN.......Never like to hammer on a team when they are at their low point but HOLY SCHNIKEES that was crazy - even tho PS was a small fav in the game......
So NT fires their HC. Starting a new QB this wk. But they get the JUGGERNAUT WKU squad coming to town who has done nothing the last 3 games other than score 56 49 58 while covering the vegas line by a combined 75+ points in the process ....Great example of a team overcoming killer injury - lose all world RB L Allen ? Have not missed a beat.....They can name their score even on the road in this one.....NT should have some early adrenaline with the coaching change - it is typical but not a 100% certainty - so that alone makes us question laying almost 5 TDs.
Summary. Going to pass on this one. N Texas is ranked slightly ahead of something called Sacred Heart in the Sagarin ratings so no score would surprise us just cant lay this many points and respect ourselves in the morning.

I agree with you less plays better than more BUT BUT BUT - that is just a choice in wagering style and see lots of guys playing tons of games and making money and at the end of the day - that is all the matters - just get the cash !

WK first half over.......seems like a good play....assuming it will be 35 for arguments sake....Last yr they scored 69% of their TD in the first half.....This yr - last 3 games - have scored 49 35 52 in the FIRST half of their games....and on the season 78% of their points in the first half - Add that to the fact NT should get 7 on that WK D - the first half over seems like a logical stab for sure. Only consideration against is new HC for NT sometimes the D comes out with their hair on fire early you know what I mean?? GL ! mega

We have the fair line at 8 and Sagarin has it at 7.5.....like we always say - power ratings are good places to start but have to read between the lines as well - in our opinion - the upside in this game lies with Stanford.....mostly due to the fact that UCLA is beat up on D and the matchup is bad for UCLA IMO.
What might surprise you about Stanford is that they are turning into a bit of an OFFENSIVE juggernaut - D is generating nowhere near the level of TFL and sacks like years past - but still posting a decent def yards/play...The interesting thing is that Hogan continues to play well at QB and the run game has churned out 300+ yards EACH of the last 2 games and now get a UCLA team with a SOFT UNDERBELLY that they can take advantage of for more carnage....Stanford offense ranked #33 and defense #28 despite playing the #13 schedule.....They are 6th in passing efficiency so the way we see this playing out is running very effectively probably 2:1 ratio rushing yds and then MATRCIULATING in the passing game for big plays....McCaffrey has been great at RB - 2nd in NCAA in all purp yds/game and leads Stanford in receptions as well....Barry Sanders Jr has a TD run of 65 yds in each of the last 2 games......Rosen has been playing well at QB for UCLA but this assignment is as tough as it gets in the P12 on the road at Stanford and do not think UCLA will be able to get the ground game going the way that they want.
Final thoughts.....Stanford is #3 in time of possession - UCLA is #118....this is gonna be painful IMO for UCLA watching the clock tick tick tick tick especially if Stanford gets up early.......Series history also greatly favors Stanford and while these are different teams - the styles are essentially the same.....last 6 meetings Stanford has won 31-10 24-10 35-17 27-24 45-19 35-0.....Do not think this UCLA team with depth issues on the road is gonna be the team that stops this Stanford streak - especially the way Stanford is killing and crushing in the run game right now.
