Qboption, you took that the wrong way.  What I was trying to tell you is give us a reason why you think OU wins that game, and that I was not trying to offend you.  I did not mean to say that OU has no offense.  Now they may not have an offensive line, but that is only part of theoffense.  Sorry if you are an OU fan, because ever since LSU beat them in 2003, and USC kicked their tails all over Miami in 2004, this team has done nothing except disappoint, even when they make it to a BCS game.  I don't think Stoops ever got over that.  But I digress.  I was just wondering why you think OU will beat Texas.  People who make predictions without an explination are a dinme a dozen, and I was hoping that this site is beyond that.  Sorry for the mix up.

Teams just outside of the TOP 30

Texas Tech   should make the Top 30 in the next go around
 
Iowa     Solid team..Losing Both DT's could be the Hawkeyes downfall
 
Cincinnati   Offense should be amazing... Defense almost loses everyone
 
BYU       Max Hall should put up monster Numbers
 
Arkansas    should make a Major Jump in 2009
Passing game should be great ... Defense will have plenty of ???
 
Miami      still Young and getting better but so is the rest of the ACC..still one of my favorite teams to fade
 
West Virginia     Jarrett Brown gets his chance ...
 
Minnesota      might be a ML DOG bread winner in 2009
 
Stanford     Suprise ... the Cardinal will pull 3 or 4 upsets this year
 
Houston      should run it up vs most of CUSA
 
Vanderbilt      returning so much from 2008...But the SEC is so Tough
 
Illinois      can't wait to jump on the bandwagon and then jump off just as fast
 
Air Force      13 Starters return for the Falcons in 2009   
 
Arizona   the Defense might carry them in 2009...
 
Nevada      Will they ever win the WAC ??

Va Tech having a Bye coming into the game is HUGE... while UNC hosts it's first Thursday night game in School history vs Florida St. the week before

The O-Line is my only
Major concern ....
 
 
QB  Greg McEroy JR PS#27 steps in for the departed JPW/...
I think Greg will be just as good if not better than Wilson ....BUT you might have to live with some bad INTS...and don't ask Greg to do to much...The O-line will be the key ...Star Jackson RD Fr PS#14 could see the field at some time being a excellent dual threat...But Star has had alot of trouble converting to the Pro-Style offense

 Terry Grant "excellent hands"    although he didn't start last year but he did start 9 games in 2007, rushing for 891 Yards 8TD's and catching 26 Balls ...
Mark Ingram 5-10 225+ Sat out much of the Spring but should be ready to shine come Fall
Trent Richardson is a great Recruit and should get some Burn as a TRUE FR...

  Julio Jones SO PS#1 caught 58 balls for 924 as a True FR... He should have a better year this season with a QB than might be able to throw the deep ball better....Jones might be needed to make More BIG plays this year as the Tide might be in tighter games in 09'...
Mike McCoy is back for his SR. year 
Marquis Maze Pint sized WR 5-9 should  make some plays this year
Brandon Gibson is a Very talented RS FR and should also see the field...
TE Colin Peek who sat out last year after transferring from Ga Tech should have a good season...Overall I think this is the Tide's best WR Core in along time ..
 
 
 
O-Line    MAJOR Concern IMO ...
Not only did the Tide lose Smith they alos lost team leader 3 yr starting C Caldwell...
The Unit is very Green and no doubt will need some time to gel...
That being said if the O-Line clicks right away Bama should then win 10+ Games,
Injuries or if things get Bad early say like week 1 vs Va Tech the Tide might be headed for a 4+ Loss season
JC Transfer James Carprenter will get first crack at replacing Smith at LT
FR DJ Fluker is 6-7 340+
RD FR Tyler Love 6-7 295+ was a PS#4 LY
Drew Davis could start at either T Spot
at G Micheal Johnson returns
John Micheal Boswell might start as a true FR..
Chance Warmack could also play as a True FR
C Williams Vlachos has been being Groomed to take over for Caldwell since William played in the Opener in 2007...

Should carry the Team at times and force alot of Turnovers and/or 3 and outs ....
 At the same time the D Might wear down if they are on the field for too long in Tough Ball games....
 
D-Line    Terrance Cody is a Monster at 6-5 365+... although they say he is losing weight(did he skip Lunch)  perfect NT for this Defense
DE Brandan Deaderick 6-4 285 is back and should be ready for a breakout year
DE Lorenzo  Washington has started before at both DT and DE ...
DE Luther Davis is also ready to step up after playing well in reserve LY

There is very littlke chance that 'Bama loses to Kentucky.  A cover may be a different story.  I would say 10-2 or 11-1,depending on whether they get past Va. Tech or not.  12-0 is a possibility.  You just never know.  If you are looking for an upset, here is a litle tidbit for you.  LSU is 4-0 S/U and ATS in their last 4 games at Alabama.

Jarmon bought an over the counter product that contained the banned substance.  He admits to waiting 15 days before telling the training department about it.  They know that the substance was banned, and immediately told him to stop taking it.  The guy should have told them on day 1.  Stupid mistake.
 
Roper has not decided where he wants to trasfer as of yet.  He just wanted out of Oregon because his playing time would have been very limited.

Double- I told you I would give you a stat on Mich @ Home vs. non-conf. I found last yr Steele mag and went over them. Here is their past 4 yrs.

'05

2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS

'06

3-0 SU and 0-3 ATS

'07

2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS ( Also throw in App ST SU Loss)

'08

0-3 SU and ATS

Now, also know they were the fav in every game. SO, in the 12 lined games, they were only 7-5 SU and 2-10 ATS


They have W.Mich, ND and E.Mich on the sched. I see them winning 1 of these and going 1-2 ATS, maybe 0-3. I will be taking the pts vs. Mich the 1st 3 games.

Not quite accurate on your stats.  Michigan played Miami (Ohio) at home last year and won 16-6.  They failed to cover a 14 1/2 point spread.  Other than that, your post is accurate.

That is correct.  Michigan has been a major money burner at home with non-con opponents.  Your point is well taken.

Looking at Michigan's Schedule  

WMU   W17+  ... Like the Broncos alot this year in the MAC... I would want 20+ in this spot ... Wolves should be fired up after losing to Toledo LY at Home ... Michigan should also be looking ahead to Notre Dame the following week

Notre Dame  L10+   If I could get Michigan with Double Digits ...I would be all over it .... Statement Game#1 ???

Eastern Michigan W24+   How many points will EMU Score ???

Indiana  W14+   might be looking ahead to big game Following week vs State...
