SOONERS SHOULD BE #2

It would be so poetic if the Sooners and Cats were matched up in a BCS bowl game in January. In 1978 I remember Billy Sims fumbling on the 3 as he was going in for the game winning TD and Nebraska won ruining the nat'l championship for OU. Then Tom Osborne and Bob Devaney get the phone call from the Orange Bowl committee informing them that their opponent would be Oklahoma. Tom Osborne's face said it all as he listened to that phone call. There was a stunned silence in the room in Lincoln and the Orange Bowl rep had to repeatedly say...Hello..Hello..And Osborne broke out in an incredulous smile. I swear I think he literally shit his pants. He knew exactly what was coming. And he was right. The Sooners dominated that game against a great Husker team..........Take a look. It's classic. Somehow I don't think Snyder will be smiling if he gets the same call.
