must have missed this earlier - strong card, good write ups
nice early line lockdown on Texas, LSU
BOL this season ice
thanks nos! ironically, i really didn't get a jump on those lines at all... Texas was 40 or 40.5 everywhere else, but at the M right by my house it was still at 38 somehow... same with the LSU and especially the UAB line (was up to 6 other places)...
like your card, too... i never win when i bet Wiscy, though, so just be glad i'm not with you on that one...

i gotta admit that is a pretty good rundown of Syracuse and their new regimen... good stuff!
like i said, this is a capping situation, more than just simply relying on Syracuse to be as bad as the last few years... under a TD i think Minnesota can handle... and then next week at Penn St i think is just a bit too much to ask... after that i will probably be hesitant to keep betting against 'Cuse, especially if i win both... cuz the lines will start getting too inflated...

that's tough! you want an answer now or can i wait til closer to gametime?
right now i'd say it's UAB... but closer to gametime i might find one that i think is just a complete lock... VT, Oregon and Okie St are all still games that i feel strongly about but haven't put on my card because i'm watching the lines and think they will all move in my favor... or at least have a chance...
my write-up for the UAB/Rice game will probably have to wait until tomorrow night, though...

Snolan... don't ever apologize for good feedback on my thread... write away, dude!
i totally understand your optimism... every new year brings new hope... and if you can avoid injuries, you'll have a chance to turn it around a bit... for me this is as much about liking Minnesota and the short spread as anything... but also the limited depth and walk-on QB issue... doesn't mean it is a sure thing... i just like my chances!
might have exaggerated the Akron score, but i just remembered they put up 45 or something...
man you are great to read, i like reading your threads, i agree with alot of things you put out there, i see you live near the M resort im also in vegas i heard they have good beer...... might have to take a trip there and check out the lines as well as the beer....... gl this season

Haha, i like suncoast, but that area down by rampart, is full of old timers....dont get me wrong, im not hating on them by any means, but it takes forever to park behind the blue hairs ;) I like the caramel room at Rampart, never placed any wagers in summerlin except at red rock...
nice to talk to some locals on here...
its funny too...most people on here would kill to live out here, and sometimes us locals are too lazy to walk across the street to place a bet, and would rather do it online ;)

smokecoast(as i refer to it) also seems to have faves a half to a point higher than strip casinos. I hear yah ultimate, honestly I hate going in to those places.
Id rather just play em online

Ice, thanks for the heads on on a decent parley. Like the plays, but had a question. Penn St., I agree is as strong a play on the board as any. I played them nearly every week last year and Week 11 was the first that they didn't cover. (They pushed against Ill & Pur. for me) I haven't seen anyone on Covers picking Akron. What is your opinion of the reverse line movement, assuming Covers is a good basis for how the public is betting? LV had EVERY chance to take this line to 28 or 28.5 which would have certainly evened up the odds a bit IMO. Not bashing your pick, just looking for a little insight. BOL in your first season here... your threads are indeed entertaining.

i wouldn't call that reverse line movement for a couple reasons...
1) we are still 3 weeks before the game...
2) reverse line movement is when something goes from 7 to 6, or 3 to 2.5... 27 to 26.5 is just a line movement... there's no key number there...
i know what you mean, it goes against what appears to be the public wave... but at this point, i am not reading anything into that...
besides, reverse line movement is generally an over-rated and over-used concept that i don't put a lot of stock into... not to the extent that some other people do...
