hey GW...
this is not just my strategy... this is standard practice for most professional handicappers... and there is a lot of math to back it up...
regardless of your current bankroll, you always keep the same unit amount... so if you start the season with a bankroll of 2000, with a unit amount of 100... then you double up by week 3 to a bankroll of 4000... your unit amount is still 100...
determine an acceptable unit amount that you are willing to play for the entire year, and stick with it... always consider your unit amount to be a fixed % of your STARTING bankroll... not your current bankroll...

i hear ya about the long thread... that's what happens when you post your picks 3 weeks before the games...
you might be in the minority about me being a strong addition... the majority of people aren't interested in bold-face truth when it comes to handicapping...
here's my card, so you don't have to search through the pages for it... still might add Kentucky to it... maybe later tonight...

yes, as a general principle i don't support playing parlays... but i break that rule in the first couple of weeks... if there is ever a time to hit them, this is it... but i also say, if you are going to do a parlay, play all of those teams straight as well...
obviously i don't have Tulsa or VT straight... Tulsa is the first team to get the parlay rolling, VT is the last team to hopefully end a big payoff... although i will most likely have to buyout part of that one... too much riding on it for such a tossup game...
GL!

Gamble... sorry for the confusion... i do base it on seasons and sports... for example, the start of the CFB season i have a starting bankroll, and i carry that philosophy through until the start of Bowl Season, at which time the rules will again be changed based on what i made for the CFB season... i generally supplement my CFB betting with NFL games, but consider an NFL unit amount to be 50% of a CFB unit amount...
but then, i also bet CBB and NBA, and will have a completely different bankroll for those "seasons"... so your statement in red is correct...
i was just talking about 1 season of CFB...

They will be 29 points better because it is a different year.
