In the first place, it has been well established that the phrase "three days and three nights" in ancient Hebrew usage was an idiomatic expression meaning simply “three days,” and was applicable even if the beginning and ending days of the period were only partial days. Thus it could refer to a period as short as about 38 hours. There is always some air in the whale's stomach, and, as long as the animal it has swallowed is still alive, digestive activity will not begin. Thus, Jonah's experience could possibly have happened entirely with the framework of natural law (what atheists believe)

That's the natural law version. As a Christian and a believer in miracles God could have made it happen however he wanted.

Also, once again I say the closer translation was Sea Monster and not whale. With that being said it could have been bigger than anything we are talking about.

Umm no...  The gastric acid in the stomach would kill a person in minutes...

It's also funny that you try to better your case by saying it was only 38 hours lol

You keep saying I believe something comes from nothing. I don't believe that. I don't necessarily believe in Hawking's theory either. I just acknowledge it as a possibility. So if you're telling me Hawking's "no boundaries" theory does not involve something coming from nothing, then you are the fool here who keeps proclaiming I believe something I do not.

But he already said how this works! The whale's stomach is somehow able to detect if what it has swallowed is still alive. And then, for some reason, it doesn't want to kill and digest it, the digestive system doesn't start working until the thing dies, which somehow the stomach can figure out all by itself.

There are multiple chambers and nasal cavities. If I had an area of 7 by 7 I'd be fine. Plus whales digest living tissue differently. Well known fact.

Trust me, I have no doubt that there is no god, but like I said, if believing in god helps you be a better person, that's what it's all about. I don't need god to do that. If someone dies, no problem here. I just don't like when people try to proclaim the writings of man as the word of god.

It's not lonely at all.  I'm as happy as a person could be, because I know this is the only life we are given, so I plan on having as much fun as possible.  I think people who NEED god to get through life are for the most part weak.  This is our only life, enjoy it!!
