Ever notice that if a rich televangelist or a US president has spoken with God and know what Gods will is they are enlightened and respected... BUT if the homeless guy on the corner communicates with God he is crazy as a loon???

Children are not punished for the sins committed by their parents; neither are parents punished for the sins of their children.

 

yet I am born WITH sin.. (according to your xian mythology)

the sins of others get transferred down to me..

and I have to go through life being sorry for it & beg every day to be forgiven and do as the dear leader(s) say or receive the highest degree of torture.

a sick and disgusting idea..

but that fits perfectly with the kind of being this yahweh character is.. a real fucking piece of shit.

This only proves people will die for their beliefs. A willingness to die for ones beliefs does not prove the fact of those same beliefs. It just shows you are willing to die for them. Being willing to do something, anything does not make the belief motivating the person/animal any more true. You are really stupid. This must be the attraction to this myth for you, relieving the burden of thinking for oneself.

Their is a gripping interview on NPR with a woman who survived the genocide in RWanda. As a little girl, she lived for days, crawling on her belly avoiding capture, and protecting her even younger sister.

A very bright woman, and well versed in human behavior. When discussing the actual atrocities her anger at the adults who would do nothing but work hard at prayer for deliverence. Their attempts to pray right, to pray better, that there must be something wrong with the way they prayed that such horror was about to descend on them.

As a ten year old girl she could see through the nonsense of this shit amongst real life.

I also love how the christian faith has for hundreds of years killed, forced seperations of families, and cruelly stomped out any remnants of indigenious culture wherever "christ" has been brought.

England did not stop the forced removal of indiginous children from their parents until 1973. All run by the christian missions to breed the black out of them.

A simple search on the internet will give you hundreds of pages of scholars that believe in the historical account of Christ.

...and still none of this has addressed the original question, dying for others is common amongst humans beyond the protection instinct for your young. It happens routinely every day. There are people in Syria, and Egypt today being gunned down in the streets for desiring equal civil rights, even for something as grandious as "eternal life".

I mean, what isn't at the bottom of every advertisement but the promise of "eternal life". It is the oldest sales pitch in the book. And it is used for good reason, undisciplined minds suck it up like heroin.

Those stories are the parables that Jesus used when speaking to the crowds or to his disciples.

In fact, he never spoke to the crowds without using such parables. They have a hidden meaning and I explained what the meanings were of the two stories or parables coming from Jesus in my last post.

SEARCH all yourself, you will FIND the majority of historical scholars believed the historicity of Jesus Christ and the emtpy tomb.

If the results dont suit your argument that is NOT my problem.

So if people KNOW for a FACT that what they are saying is a LIE, they are willing to die for that LIE especially when they are threatened at "gun point" to say a term? I dont think so.

If i was living around the time of Christ and NEVER saw, talked and touched the risen Christ, and i knew FOR A FACT that he never rose, ie, i knew that the body was stolen or something like that, there is no way i would die for a lie, i think you will find NO one will do it, unless they had some serious mental problems.

What does this have to do with anything? All what this proves is that the little girl doesnt have faith. Big whoop. But what about the saints who have healed cancers, tunours etc etc. oh but wait, it wasnt God who did that, it just happened by medical chance. if it doesnt work, then you will say i told you, then if it did work, ie, healing of sick, you will say it was just a medical coincidence.

2 things,

1, where did i say Christians were sin free or perfect human beings? Where? As if the behaviour of modern Chrsitians proves / disproves wether God exists or not......

2. Atheists are the BIGGEST mass murders in the history of humanity by a MILE. Nothing comes close.

A Christian does not pray or worship a cross. If you go to a Christian church you will never see a Cross anywhere. Just like we don't praise Jesus's mother Mary.

And when Chrsitianity teaches "thou shall not kill", does NOT mean if a Christian kills it is because of their religion.

Morality is relative in atheism, so while atheism, obviously doesnt teach to murder like Christianity doesnt, it is NOT absolutely wrong to murder under atheism, it is under Christianity.

No, but when people kill in the name of their religion, it is because of that religion...
