"I want there to be a God" is not the same as "I want to believe in God" or "I wish I did believe in God
Fo all those statement I've shown clearly depicts a person not wanting there to be a God...especially when you say it is just foolishness...I rest my case!

Stop saying that you answered all the questions. These answers are merely your opinion. I would think if there was actual evidence and answers the religious community would be telling everyone about it....
See, there's that hardened heart and closed mind at work...lol
Further evidence that you do not want there to be a God.

Like I said in my last post on the previous page, you need a miracle in your life because nothing we say will change your hardened heart and stubborn mind.

No, instead I want no one watching out for me and I certainly don't want eternal happiness. Right, I don't want there to be a god... You're clueless...

lol they have been for years. But people choose to turn the other way and not listen. What if I do not think that 2 + 2 = 4? How do we know for a fact that 2 + 2 = 4? I mean, honestly, I think it's obvious that 2+2=4, so just because I do not believe it, does not mean there's no proof and validity there... bro, I know you and probably everybody else is getting annoyed with me saying this, but until you go into my thread, pick out the part that I fabricated or did not tell the truth, then I will keep asking you to please read it. Because whether you choose to believe it or not, that does not take away from the evidence that is actually there. I have covered SO MANY questions and comments, that I think I have virtually covered most of everything that has been in this thread.
So, once again, just because you choose not to accept the evidence that's there (and I will keep saying that until you go into my thread and show me otherwise); and there is plenty of evidence; does not mean that the Bible, existence of God, etc. is false

I absolutely refuse to go through all that garbage. I don't need to go looking for evidence. You can provide me with this "evidence" you speak of...
I'd love to hear this proof of god you have that seems to be eluding everyone else on earth...

Its important to remember that the Bible was a negotiated piece of literature. A group of various christian groups compromised and decided what was and wasn't in it. Which in my opinion means alot when we are talking about the possibility of the divine. Why would you compromise on your beliefs if you knew 100% you were right?
There were gospels that were not included that have been uncovered. Including exploits from Mary herself. Mary is one of the most interesting figures in the christian faith. She was so controversial that the church deemed her a prostitute even though they knew that was not true... why would they do that? They did it because she was a direct challenge of Jesus's divinity. And of course have since dropped that rumor.
Religion like anything evolves over time and things change. Look at basketball for example.... the game has come a long way from the game that Naismith invented.
Whether a god exists is not really that important... even though it typically is the number one issue in religious debates such as this.
There are the following possibilities:
1. God exists as written in the christian faith
2. God exists as written in another religious faith
3. God exists in a way completely different from what we understand
4. There are many gods... a higher race of beings
5. No god exists period
6. Something my primitive mind hasn't said or can't comprehend
If people would spend more time understanding and living by the teachings of christ and other men of peace and tolerance the world would be a much better place. You don't need god to a religious man or a moral man. Be the best person you can be and I suspect things will workout in the end whether a god exists or not

That which I bolded is the most important part. Those are all possibilities. I think everyone on here can agree we cannot rule out any of them with 100% certainty.
The previous section of sparty's post regarding the bible is exactly why the bible cannot be used as evidence; because it is unreliable.
The most logical belief that one can conclude given the world we know and live in, is #5. That doesn't mean the others aren't possible. All it means is that given the empirical evidence around us, a logical, sound, rational human being can conclude no different. I would absolutely be ecstatic if evidence came about that proved the existence of god. It would be amazing to know that after I die, I would enter a blissful state for all of eternity. Unfortunately, at this time, that makes no sense. However, if someone takes a picture of god or god comes on the radio and makes a public service announcement, I'm sure I'll find out. Until then, I'll go on worrying about things that are tangible.

Like I said in my last post on the previous page, you need a miracle in your life because nothing we say will change your hardened heart and stubborn mind.
So you believe that the only way to have an open mind and soft heart is to be Christian? That's funny... what were you saying about open-mindedness?

Ok-we're making progress now. You see how I said to you "we live in a computer program" and you responded by asking ME TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE.
Let's replace the statement "we live in a computer program" with "god exists." Surely you cannot fail to see the analogy now?
For the same reason that prompted you to ask me for evidence that we live in a computer program (as opposed to you providing me with evidence why we don't), I ask you for evidence as to why god exists (as opposed to me providing you with evidence as to why he doesn't).
Who created this computer programme? Is this computer programme in our realm or a supernatural realm?

Why would anyone not want there to be a god? Are you serious?
No, instead I want no one watching out for me and I certainly don't want eternal happiness. Right, I don't want there to be a god... You're clueless...
A mutlitude of reasons
1. Man doesnt want to be told what to do.
2. Man doesnt want to be told what is right or wrong
3. Man wants to fulfill his own evil desires
4. Man doesnt want to answer to anyone but himself
The list goes on and on....
Man doesnt to have a guilty feeling of performing wrongful deeds, that is why they supress the truth so they dont have guilty feelings.....
The biggest issue why man doesnt God is because of PRIDE...

Are you paying attention? I already have. Anything is possible. Can you admit you could be wrong?
Ok, good...So i would say you are more on the agnostic side than atheistic....
I have always said that while i believe there are very poweful signposts that point to God, ie moreso that dont, the belief is ultimately based on faith.....

I don't consider myself to be anything. I just use the information at hand to conclude that it is unlikely that a god exists. It is certainly possible I am wrong though. Anything is possible.

You made a list and everything on the list is the same... I'd love to know where you got this knowledge from anyway. Did you poll everyone on earth?
yeah, i surveyed everyone on the earth...
How often does man think of there own death? Very very very rarely. Man is more concerned about now, the very present. Death is very much on the backburner. Man is more concerned about there immediate desires and do immora thingsl to achieve these desires. Therefore, not only does man supress the truth about God existing BUT also man does not want the feeling that someday they will have to answer for his bad deeds one day to WHICH WE HAVE ALL COMMITED. So they convince themselves God doesnt exist to remove this fear....Man would much rather die, ie, no after life, than to face the reprecussion of there sins...
If i could conduct an experiement, i wonder what the difference would be if everyone thought God was just a God of love, ie, do what you want, when you want, how you want and no matter what , you will end up in heavan (which is what you are trying to sell here when you say, "why wouldnt anyone want to believe")......Rather than the real God, the Christian God who is a God of love AND a God of wrath,. A God that judges rightly good and bad?
I bet if peoples ONLY concept of God was the former, i would think that the results would be staggering...
