Now the award for supreme hypocrisy goes to Mikniks who believes in little green men who have landed on Earth but of course there is no God. Wow. I can't wait to hear you defend this one. Careful Mikniks you will be a theists before you know it. 

The idea of something tangible, actual, existing, aliens (NOT LITTLE GREEN MEN), but some form of life from other planets that we have 100% proof of is ridiculous?

"Alien" means anything not of this world...  Alien bacteria has already been discovered AND THAT IS 100% FACT...  This means it is 100% that we have found alien life...

But it doesn't mean god does exist. If god wants to reveal himself to me then that's awesome and I will admit I was wrong. Until then and absent clear and convincing evidence (or any sufficient evidence for that matter), I have no choice but to not believe because I have a brain and my intellect prevents me from believing in frivolous things. If I were dumber, I would have less arguments and believe that when I die, everything would be happy and that would comfort me. Unfortunately, I am not a moron and I am aware of my own mortality. It does not scare me because there is nothing I can do about it. It applies to everyone. We are all the same in that regard. I see no reason to believe in god and until one presents itself, I will continue to not believe.

You can't just proclaim something as "Truth" and have it be truth. For something to be "Truth" it actually has to be true. And until it becomes true, it ceases to be "Truth" and dwells in the land of "Speculation." Obviously no human being in existence can say with 100% certainty that god exists. If something is less than 100% certain then I have a right to say it's not truth. Granted if it's close to 100% or in some instances above 50% it is sufficiently believable. Based on my experiences in life and everything I know about the world, religion, science, etc., I consider the odds of a god's existence to be somewhere around .000000001% and therefore, the odds that you have chosen the correct god to believe in is that number divided by the number of religions in the world which is a number so small we can't even comprehend it. And obviously you place the % at a much higher number that a god exists. But even if we use your number, let's say you think there is a 99% chance god exists, you still have to divide your number with the number of religions in the world so the odds of you picking the right god are very small even if we grant the likely the existence of a god.

It is not moronic to believe in a higher power but it is moronic to believe that this all some accident or some scientific freak show. The Universe is far more complex than you realize. Also God reveals himself/herself to you everyday but you don't have eyes to see because you're caught up in your own ego and your carnal mind. Your carnal mind wants God to materialize and come introduce himself to you. Why does God need to that for YOU. You are his creation. He doesn't need to prove anything to you. You are here to prove to him and to be reminded of that which you really are. The problem with atheists is you guys have committed a lobotomy of the spirit. You deny everything that is unseen and that is the real world. Before anything becomes materialized it all starts with a thought. That thought is like an unborn child. The thought is born when it takes material form. That is Universal Law. But you're so caught up with yourselves and  your ego that you have ignored the most powerful tool in the Universe. Those tools are your spirit and your mind. Learn to think on a different level. Learn to think on a cosmic level. That is where God will meet you. In depths of your spirit, your heart and your soul. God loves you and wants to be in your life. Not just as some sort of hell and damnation but as a Father to a child to guide you and give you wisdom. Oh yes God is real and he is in each and every one of us but he isn't pushy. He knocks oh so gently. He is persistent and he is there waiting patiently for you to wake up and start your journey home. You don't have to die to go to heaven. Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. God loves you. Put aside your ego and trust in your inner heart. That deep voice that speaks to you. The reason you come on this thread day after day seeking answers. I know its rough. Questioning is there a God. How come this?  How come that? God gave us free will but he has Universal Law/Cause and Effect/Karma. As a man soweth so shall he reap. This is his equalizer. Universal Law is the stable force of the Universe. This is why true evil is dealt with on this level. God loves you and wants you to turn to him. Put aside your atheist thoughts for just a moment and reach out to him in your own way. Don't take my word for it. Reach out and ask for God to show you a sign. I guarantee if you come to God with a pure heart and ask him to reveal himself to you he will. He will reveal himself to you in a way that is personal to you and only you would understand. That is how God operates. He wont be on CNN, FOX or MSNBC. But he will reveal himself to you if truly ask him to. If you have the courage of your conviction I invite you to do that. You don't have to tell us what happened but you will see a slow change in your life and your thoughts will turn to him. Instead of rejecting God he will turn you into a soldier for him. Man has killed more people in the name of Religion or God than any other cause. I am not caught up in man's religion nor do I say that there is only one right religion. God reaches us at our own level and they may take several forms. No God isn't a religion. God is. And once again you seem to be stuck on this if there isn't any evidence or proof crap. Get off that. This is spiritual and it's beyond evidence and proof. What do I mean by that? It's called faith and if you would put your Ego aside which huge by the way and realize that YOU don't have all the answers and since YOU don't have all the answers. YOU should seek wisdom. Wisdom isn't something you read in a book. Wisdom is discernment especially spiritual discernment. You can be book smart and street dumb. You can be street smart and have no wisdom. My take on you friend is that you seem to have average intelligence but you're not a wise man. Your ego is too big for you to be wise. Your spirit isn't humble. So I advise you to seek the ONE that can guide you in these matters. No doubt this will be hard for you and you will spend the rest of your days on this planet debating with theists that there is no God but yet you waste your precious time arguing about something that you will never win. You want to win and I understand that but you can't win this. Because no matter what you say or what scientific evidence you have or don't have. No matter how you twist it turn it or skip over it. It don't change a thing God is,was and will always be long after you and I and every pathetic person on this planet is long gone. You need to understand that friend. You're fighting a battle that you will NEVER win. This is why I call atheist cowards because instead of dealing with the reality of the situation. You guys are sitting on the sidelines denying the whole reason we're here. That's the worst possible position to be in because you're accomplishing absolutely nothing in your spiritual life and that is why we're here friend. We're here to grow spiritually.
