Harness Racing Ontario - Mohawk specialty + other B tracks occasionally

Race 1 > only #5 can beat #3 who is gonna be tough....I did not take this horse last time if you recall because it had been off for a while but it won easily.....like butter spread on a hot muffin

-#5 has been fave last 2 times so if you get a price...put the horse in as the owners/trainer are schooling this horse to collect paycheques in a class as long as possible...I understand the game and sometimes you dont want a horse moving too fast, but rather, picking up 2nd/3rd cheques for many races is good ...if I see 7/2 or better, its going in my PICK5, otherwise, I am keying #3

Race 2 > ALL...smell games being played....love #6 but also #1 and #3 moving up...which is rare for me to pick horses like that but I see something. I also believe TRALGAR was stiffed by McNair last week so they could bring the horse in with FIRST TIME JODI JAMIESON on #2

Race 3 >>> love love #8 ...but take 2 who was stiffed ...I watched it and #6 is gonna pop soon....laying off #3 

Race 4 >> 467 .....BEWARE #5.....gonna wheel in superfecta 3rd and 4th and maybe an exactor for 2nd and a little win $$

Aha.....#5 went off at 3 - 1 and came off of #3's cover 3rd over......and won easy it looked like

I have it on a second ticket...KEYED #3 on a biggie!

Strong Wind Saturday from the SW so that means...

-Horses first over or 2nd over can wind up and get a push on the last turn

-Horses in the 8-9-10 hole will struggle and use a lot of energy trying to get to the front into the wind on the first turn....if they are hung, they are toast

Race 1 > tough race...they could set up any one of these to win on a trip with 7 horses.....best for is #1, 4 and 6 .....and they are not even morning line faves!!!

TAKE > ALL (7 horses)

Race 2 > 456 is all you need....but they could bring in #1 as a closer with a wicked backhalf....in a 6 horse race, its possible so its a judgement call ...my gut says #6 because Marfisi is hot to start the year and he had a terrible first half....even he is using drugs which is the rumour for the last year or two, THEY ARE MORE EFFECTIVE TO MAKE A RESULT IN COOLER/COLD weather ....this is the OBVIOUS RACE ....many will only take 45 only

Race 3 > 245 ....there is a key in there...so I doubt anyone of the other trotters can step up and shave more than 1 second off their PB

Race 4 >368 ....I wouldn't touch #9 for 2 reasons.....been off for a while....has to win on cover and off the pace....and IT HAS NOT RACED IN MINUS TEMPS....so those times are inflated, big time and in fact, my 3 selections were racing as fast as it when it was putting in those but now it has the daunting 9 - hole with wind......many might key this one mistakenly!!! I leaving it out

Upset on #1 is a maybe...one of these times, this horse will pop

Race 5 > same deal in this race....#10 is off too long and in tough with inside post horses

LOVE > #2, 3 4 ..... Christoforou will drive #4 well and not aggressively and watch...it will win as a result!

-2 is a gritty horse when it drops down and racing well

#3 might be ready to move up to FREE for all with a win.....

x-factor is SWEET DIESEL with an aggressive driver McNair...but generally, not good enough vs other aggressive moving horses for the last year....why would the horse be different???

#6 won easy.....they made 2 horse the fave up to the gate and then big money came down on #6....too bad this was not the 2nd race or later because the 6 was 6-1 morning line

MARFISI drugs....won the second race easily >#6 as I said....I think I have one play with it KEYED

A fair amount of snow has fallen but its not that cold....light winds from the South changing to the west by the 4th race so right, no effect in my view

Some driver observations.....McNair is hot and so is Luc Roy....Jodi is heating up too . Cullen has cooled off but I suspect he will start to rip again soon. JMAC is not as hot and Sylvain is Sylvain...steady and tries most races

Trevor has been quiet so I am going to concentrate on him, Cullen or McNair in the right situation

Race 1 > Play only 135  > Pick3 play is put 478 on a ticket with #5 who I think will win and get value

Race 2 > 248 > a maybe to #3

Race 3 > 3468 > normally like #1 too but not with this driver in this class level

Race 4 > 27 ....doubt the #5 can beat #2 and #6 will fall into a race soon.....the other potential dangerous horse to fall into a win is #9

I think one could key #2 confidently, but the connections on #7 are outstanding and I have seen first time horses from them shave 5 seconds off of a qualifier so I am thinking they didn't try in the qualifier ....will do a wheel with Super to the #7 for 3rd and 4th but will also do an EXACTOR 2 - 7

Race 5 > 46 is all you need....maybe #3 and then #7 next

We rarely like the same because times rarely matter for me....its driver/trainer/pedigree/last race trip and owner for me ....times are usually the last determination....as long as the horse is within 2 seconds, all my first 4 criteria matter more !

These were my plays...changed a little....alive to the 2nd one and I got a whole bunch of pick3's played paying out this race, next and in the 5th
