I live in Vegas now, true, I tip less than when I was a visitor. But waitresses have thanked me when they get anything at all. One explained to me that anything is appreciated because since the recession started, tipping is way down. I tipped her 45 cents, that's all I had in my pocket. I wasn't going to go to the ATM machine, then try to break a 20 dollar bill, just for the tip. What if she was getting off at the moment, I thought 45 cents was better than nothing.
It's interesting that none of you thought her behavior was rude. To make fun of ANY tip is unprofessional. But I was fair to her stating that she appologized admitting that she shouldn't do that, thus ending the situation. If you people think I'm cheap, so what, I doubt I make as much as you do, so I'm bound to tip less as I have less income to tip. I'm not ashamed about that and I don't brag either.
I live in Vegas and you are a cheap inconsiderate person. If you dont have money to tip you probably should be in there gambling.

When you mop floors in Prison for .45 cents a day and get raped in the shower on a daily basis. I would say you are being overpaid.
I have some examples:
NEW YORK NEW YORK-- I was having a bad luck day. I was playing the slots at NYNY and ordered a beer from the cocktail waitress (as long as you are gambling, the drinks are free in Vegas. You don't have to tip the waitress, but most players do, me included). She brought me my beer, I reached into my pocket and only had 45 cents, so I gave it to her. She said, "Wow, a 20-cent tip!" She was making fun of the tip I gave to her!" I immediately cashed out and ran her down. In front of other customers, I reamed her for making fun of my tip, which was 45 cents, not the 20 cents she claimed. She was embarrassed and she appologized for the indescression which was the right thing for her to do. The appology calmed me down and I went on my way, knowing that she had learned her lesson. If you make a living off tips in Vegas, keep in mind some gamblers are down on their luck and may tip you little or nothing at all. That doesn't mean they are tightwads. But there are some people who don't tip at all. That's just the nature of the game.
Example 2: I was at the Aria Casino and went up to a bartender and asked him to switch the TV to a football game I had bet on. Now keep in mind, they had 3 TV screens showing ESPN and other sports shows that nobody was watching. I had even went into the sportsbook and asked the manager what sattellite channel the game was on so I could provide that info to to the bartender. After doing so, the bartender told me to go watch the game in the sportsbook. I was truly flabbergasted! I could have taken the matter to a higher level, but by this time I was so displeased by the customer service in virturally all MGM resorts. I no longer do business there, as their training program is shoddy. Furthermore, when you go to the cashier in MGM resorts, they have no line markers, so it's every customer for themselves. I've had many customers cut in front of me, usually I say something, but I get tired of having to do so.
Good Customer Service Story: I was playing slots at the Wynn, which is probably the highest-class place in town. I ordered a beer. When the waitress brought it to me I realized I didn't have any money in my pocked, all my money (and it wasn't much) was in the slot machine. I appoligized to the waitress for not being able to tip her. She said with a smile on her face, "Don't worry about that. Now get lucky and get some of your money back!" And she said it so sincerely! See, she was trained to appreciate tips but realize that people are gamling and might not be able to tip at all. And I was playing a penny slot in a high-class joint, it didn't matter, she still treated me like I was a high roller. I really like the treatment you get at the Wynn. I also received good treatment from other employees there.
Any other stories? Good or bad?

I can tell you I go to Vegas at least 3 times a yr sometimes more I tip every single drink I knaow that makes them not free but they sure do get by more often way to often. I have been to New York NY and stay there usually for free I have never had anything but great service there as at the Aria becase they are part of the MGM I have stayed there as well did really good last time there and had great sevice there as well. I havent ever played in Wynn so I caant compare that. Tip always and often and they will treat you like a king I have had to keep lots of ones on me but if I hit a jackpot I will tip my waitress a 20 so that is all I got to say good luck next time remember keep tip money in a separate pocket and when you run low put more in. Good Luck in the future trips.

Yo Porkman...
.45c tip: The best you could of done is to tell her, I dont have any cash but will come looking for you in a bit (even if you dont actually look for her in a while , I thinks its better then leaving .45 cent.)
In your defense, I been 3 times to vegas and by far the worst workers faces were at NYNY... I wasnt even having a bad day and some dealer looked so disintresed that I had to tell her " you really hate your job hey?" lol
I love the Aria and MGM grand and there is never a problem at PH

UPDATE FROM PROMARK IS A TIGHTWAD CENTRAL
POOBA: Attention followers. As you know it is our specific mission to continue to bring forth the issue of Promark's cheapness. We must toss and turn at night, thinking of a hundred different ways to say the same thing, and hope that it gets under Promark's skin. We must employ friends and family! Get them to register with covers so that way we can make Promark feel lower than low. After all, this is what we were born to do. So go out there and do it!
AGENT 101: Hey, Promark doesn't have a job, at least we do! Our job is to degrade him until he, well I don't know what it is he will do, but we'll keep doing what we do, which is to think of a hundred diffferent ways to say the same thing.
AGENT 182: Yeah, when I'm at work, and I'm supposed to be concentrating, all I can think about is how to get Promark! I don't have a problem, I'm perfectly normal and secure with who I am . . .
AGENT 46: I too think of Promark when I'm at work, and I have to admit it, I thought of Promark when I was having sex. My girlfriend asked, "are you having another Promark moment?" I have to admit it, I was.
AGENT 61: I'm not as bad as the rest of you, I only agonize over Promark less than 50 times a day. I have almost completely recovered.
AGENT 255: I'm just glad that we have captivated legions of followers. This story just keeps on giving. I'm totally within myself and proud to be a team member.
