Bodio, what do you think of the Vikings this year? I like team total wins over 7. I expect a big bounce back year out of them.

Agree, but what worries me is having Recker behind the plate.  He is an automatic out and I think the Indians will try and succeed to steal on him.  Not sure how much faith the A's pitchers will have in him calling a game considering he was the one behind the plate for his debut in that wreck last week against the Yankees.  Recker is NOT a MLB caliber catcher and its another reason I like the over here.

Vikings are an interesting team.  Not many people expect them to do anything this year but they still have the best RB in football, a pretty solid defensive line, and a QB in McNabb who is itching to prove doubters wrong.  They could easily start out their season at 5-3 or at least 4-4. And their games in the 2nd half of the season against DEN, OAK (both at home), @ Washington and against the Bears (at home) are very winnable.  Definitely like the OVER 7 here.  At 7.5 it's most likely a pass though.

you know its a bad day to bet when bodio's best pick is with a bad road team going against a solid home team after a 16 inning game followed by an early day game. 

going with the brewers and laying the juice.

Bodio a question for you - thanks in advance for the thoughts...
the Red Sox team total is 5 tonight, I'm seeing -120 juice. Having a hard time not loving this. Any thoughts on it? 

The Sox team hits .267 against A.J., but that's largely skewed by bad numbers from Drew and Varitek and pedestrian numbers from Youkilis. All are out tonight. Ellsbury is hitting .345, Pedroia .303, Ortiz .268 with 4 HR in 43 AB, etc.

I think 4 runs in 6 innings from Burnett would be a success for him, and I'd still like 5 at that point given the likelihood Lester is still winning with that run support and the Sox dodge Rivera in the Yankees pen.

Yeah. i know, they always can score 15 runs, but AJ is so bad that i can't resist, and honnestly this series should be a sweep for Sox, C.C. was lucky to escape with a win, 13 hits, 32 LOB...c'mon, 
I bet yesterday on Beckett vs Hughes, and for sure i will bet on Lester vs Burnett, 
Yanks hit lefties this year, but i don't care, it's AJ on mound, if Twins and O's offense can score 7 & 6 runs in first 1, 1/3 inning of game i hope that Sox score 20 runs and send this bum to pitch in Canada
I love Yanks, and rarely bet aganst them, but Boston is just way better in this pitching matchup, and evidently they have Yanks number this year

I was liking the Broncos O 5.5 but it was -140 last week so I laid off,now I see someone else may have been on the same wavelength because it's now at -160 which I hate laying S.U for almost any bet.

I would expect them even with a tough home sked to get at least 4 wins at home which would only require to road victories. Any insight on this would be greatly expected.

Also are you making any pseudo/paper plays in CFB for tracking purposes or just gaining info for models.

When I saw NYY+190 last night I had to hit it for a unit. Probably would have been better to pass but A.J "Another Joint" Burnett is fully capable of throwing a gem when his mind is in the game (or yes a horror show if not) and the Bombers can hit anyone so I jumped on it. We'll see in a few hours I guess but for an action person who will be watching this game as well as football tonight and flipping around it was to good of a line to pass on.
