So for example, in the games going on right now.....which games have juiced balls? All of them?
You have bum pitchers in Wash and Sox throwing gems and low scoring games.....and aces in Clev getting lit-up....so they only sent juiced balls to CLev?
In todays game, you see players with .240 batting averages and 30-40 hrs....thats because they swing for the fence everytime....we are setting homerun records but also setting strikeout records...

So I assume that you still haven't read a damn thing and won't. But what you will do is, continue to reverb ridiculous questions with the intention of sounding cleverly funny.
1. Juiced ball is just a term. There is actual evidence(believe it or not), actual proof, tests that have been performed by credible people who found that the MLB has been using a different ball since the all-star break of 2015. This ball is not literally "juiced" but is smaller in circumference and has smaller/flatter seams. Both these attributes allow for less air resistance and create a longer flight. The balls C.O.R. or(coefficient of restitution) aka "bounciness" is also higher than before.
2. Why is there a new ball? It's not to help team A beat team B. It can't help or hurt in wins and losses in any way. Good pitchers will still have a bad outing and crap pitchers can still pitch a gem once in a while. The purpose was to create more home runs and scoring. And guess what? It worked. The ball flies further, exit velocities are higher, and it can all be traced back to the 2015 all star break.
In 2014 the MLB hit a scoring low, lowest scoring season in 40 years. Pitchers were dealing. This was bad for tv ratings, bad for fantasy etc...especially when the other pro sports were experiencing scoring highs.
So to pump life back into the sport, this shameless move was put on. That's all it is. No edge for either team, no fix, no black magic.
But if you want to keep thinking that ALL hitters of ALL ages just suddenly became stronger/trained better/found the magic home run swing etc, in this short 2 year span, then so be it.

I'm done responding to you morons. Take some time away from the video games to read the articles that Sac has linked in this thread. Why are you betting on a sport that you OBVIOUSLY know nothing about?

Because basically every time he makes contact, the Titleist leaves the park. Get it?
Because the ball is juiced? Have you seen him play before?
On some of his swings, he missed the ball by 1-2 feet, not even close...the guy literally swings for homeruns everytime....nobody on base 0-2 count, bases loaded 3-1 count...it doesnt matter...he swings for homeruns everytime....
WHy? Because thats what baseball is today...coaches dont care if you go 1-4 with 3ks and 1 hr...its a new game....

Ive played baseball for 27 years....I win betting this sport more than any other sport...
I read every article...
I want to know why if the ball is juiced why are batting averages lower than ever? Why is EVERY offense statistic lower than ever besides homeruns?

Last response: Because today's players suck. The talent pool is horrible. They're giving them every chance to look presentable and they think HR's are the answer to keep fans interested. When they're lucky enough to make contact, there's a good chance it leaves the yard. My God, are you that dumb?

A juiced ball would mean better offensive numbers EVERYWHERE....not just homeruns...
Groundball will be hit harder and get through more often, a line drive over the shortstop/second baseman would get through the gap for a double more often...
Every stat would be increasing....not decreasing...
If the ball was juiced, players wopuld realize they just need to make less than perfect contact and would not be striking out more than ever...

They are all launching. More strikeouts, more bombs.
Keyelement mentioned in his post that, that type of philosophy wouldn't be acceptable by managers if they didn't think their players had a shot at the fence.

The majority on this post claim the ball is juiced...
So...
Contact=increased chance at homeruns
Being professionals players making millions, with coaches making millions and owners making billions....
Dont you think that group of individuals would come to the conclusion that making more contact, would mean increasing the opp of homeruns?
So, instead of striking out 50% of the time...why not cut your swing down because the ball will fly anyways?
Imagine these guys who are hitting all these homeruns, but striking out half the time...made 25% more contact but cutting their swing down just a little bit?
Say a player has 100 at-bats....strikes out 50 times...makes contact 50 times
of those 50 contacted balls, 20 are homeruns...
Imagine if he only struck out 20 times and made contact 30 more times...those 30 more conacted at-bats would result in 12 more homeruns....
I guess the players and coaches never came to that conclusion

But...lets try and use some common sense here...

I agree with some of what you say letgopack. You are a baseball guy, played it and know the sport well.
But hitting for "contact" will not increase the chance of homers. You know that, especially in a 2 strike count guys back in the day would choke up, hit oppo, and hit down on the ball, put the ball in play. Many players were great at fouling off pitches(some still are today) and worked a pitcher till he made a mistake. None of those swings were/are power cuts. That's what I think of when I hear "hitting for contact"
Plus, the ball isn't that tremendously juiced. The one chart showed that it carries an extra 7.5 feet. (maybe why we haven't heard the term "warning track power" in a while)
Now the new breed of hitters that you mention...the low batting average, high K rate, swing for the fences dudes...are real. This is what it is now there's no denying it. Both this type of hitter and the new ball are perfect for eachother.
On the first page of this thread I wrote down what upset me most. I believe that the lower seams are also having an effect on the pitchers and how it effects the movement on their pitchers. I can't find any info or interviews or quotes to back that up. But what I've seen with my eyes are an increase in hung curve balls and sliders. A lot of these homers are not coming against fast balls, but the off speed stuff.
As I posted in another post, team ERA's have gone down since 2015, drastically. But batters batting avg stay around the same and K's have risen each and every year for 10 years now.

The most alarming thing to me out of all the info I've read is the
lowered seams on the baseball. The articles I've linked mention how it
effects the flight of the ball. But they fail to mention how important
the seams are for a pitcher to grip the ball and create movement on
their pitches.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS, THIS, and THIS!!! ^^^^^^^^^^
I think a problem with people have at accepting this explanation is the term "juiced" It implies something inside the baseball (perhaps a new moonball core!) or an added or different material being used in winding the ball. "Juiced" is just a lazy term used by the media and blowhards to drop when they want to appear to be in the know.

not only do baseballs used in 2016 travel further by about 7.1 feet
on average than those used before the All-Star break in 2015, but that
the corresponding difference in exit speed is just about exactly enough
to account for the uptick in homers based on research elsewhere..
And this theory might be the one best suited to explain why the
increase in home runs would begin at an All-Star Break and not before
any one season or gradually over time.

One more day of June baseball to play... Yet June of Twenty-Seventeen already holds the record in MLB: The most home-runs slugged ever in one month - including the PED-era.
