Kettle, meet pot.
Anyways, I didn't come on here with the intention to "bash"...I was simply offering a different opinion. I think this show is a joke and I would hope that all fans would at least entertain the idea that there was no "master plan" at the outset. Doesn't look too likely though...
But like I said in my first post on this forum...if you like it, you like it. I, personally, think it's silly. But hey, we all enjoy silly things - it's just different from one person to the next.
I will give the producers/writers/etc. of "Lost" kudos on one thing - they have done a magnificent job of brainwashing. They have preyed on the gullible and easily-influenced with remarkable success. Beyond that, their list of accomplishments is a short one in my opinion.
But I'll leave you fanboys to your discussion. It became immediately obvious that you won't entertain a voice of reason or a counter-perspective. So have fun. Enjoy the last season. I hope all of your "questions" get answered. And best of luck finding something to fill the void in your television schedules after this season.
All the best guys and gals.

To the real followers of the show, i was reading more into last episode and do you think there is anyway the kid is jacob? Maybe Flocke was scared because he didn't think Jacob would be bothering him anymore. Any thoughts?

as much as i don't want him to be jacob, i have to believe it's him. i mean the blonde hair and flocke being freaked out by him points to it being jacob. Plus he told flocke he broke the rules by killing him. i am pissed i have to sit in class on tuesday and have to wait till 1030 to watch

just finished watching. my thoughts on the episode...
We have basically known it all along, but it was nice for Claire to introduce us to her "friend". I think it is safe to say that Claire has been doing some killing for the past 3 years at the request of Flocke. Flocke wants everybody dead and he will lie and take different forms to convince someone to do it for him.
Part of me thinks he just wants to chill on the island all by himself. Jacob however is not going to let this happen which will eventually to lead the rumble at the temple. In one corner you have Flocke, Claire, and Sawyer and possibly Sayid and in the other corner you have Jack, Hurley, Kate, and Dogan. My money right know is on Flocke.
I can see it now, Claire and Jin heading to the temple when all of a sudden they run into our pal Kate. Of course Kate will try to save the day like always and will fail miserably when she tells Claire she has been taking care of Aaron. I can only hope and pray that Clair has her axe with her so she can dispose of Kate the proper way. If you can't tell, I despise Kate and everything she does. I was very upset when I saw she had a number on that contraption in the lighthouse
Speaking of the contraption, Desmond also had a number so that is a great sign. I always knew Desmond was important in the grand scheme of things. But the most important is Jack. Whatever decision he has to make according to Jacob, he has to do it on his own. LOST has been this way since the beginning.
Any guesses on who Jack's baby mama is? I don't think it will be his previous wife, that would be boring and it's defiantly not Kate I don't think. If I had to pick a long shot I would go with Ana Lucia
What did you guys think of the episode?

Liked the episode. Curious to see who the person is that Jacob said will be coming to the island. I could be way off, but something told me it was Walt. Never understood why the Others were in such awe of him but this could be the payoff to that storyline.
Think you may be off on the baby mama since David is lacking in the tan skin dept. My guess would be Juliet.

Actually, someone pulled a screen shot from last night's episode and 108's name was Wallace. No one I talked to thought that name sounded familiar, so who knows. Jacob wanted Jack to break the mirror all along, so maybe it didn't matter who 108 was.
Also, I think it's interesting that only one "Kwan" was on the ceiling. So that means that Jin OR Sun survives, not both. My bet is Jin doesn't want to go along with Flocke/Claire, and he gets the axe.
By the way - I loved that earlier speculation about Sawyer/Jack in the series finale. Man, that would be a great ending!
FYI: I read in an interview that the final 3 scenes of the series are going to be unbelievable. I can't wait...

I don't know if we've ever heard Desmond's last name, but, as a Scot, it certainly wouldn't surprise me to learn that it's Wallace.
The only other serious pianist I can recall from the show (besides Faraday, who I'm pretty sure is not David's mother) is Penny. Not sure how or if Jack and Penny found one another, but you never know.
Kwan is only Jin's original name. Sun's would have been something else. I'm thinking Jacob would have kept track from birth, so I'm assuming it's Jin's name on list.
When Jack called David from Sydney, he mentioned that something "had happened." I assume Jack had gone to Sydney to pick up his dad's body, so something else must have happened, no?
Big Picture: Jacob and Flocke are playing a game - good vs. evil?, free will vs. destiny? shirts vs. skins?. Jacob's got his list (in the lighthouse) and Flocke's got his (in the cave). People get crossed off for different reasons. I gather people get crossed off of Jacob's list when they are no longer a "candidate," and off of Flocke's list when they're dead.
It would be interesting to know why some people can see Jacob and some can't. It appears that candidates can't. Not sure what to make of that, or much else.

Real good episode.

Great post Maine. Like I said in my earlier post, LOST has always been about destiny and free will. Just like Ben told Jack: "I want you to want to do the surgery".
And Desmond's last name is Hume

Last season on Lost, another child prodigy played the same
number for us. I am referring to Master Daniel Faraday in ''The
Variable.'' We remember his fate: how his mother cut him off his from
art; how she redirected his brilliance toward physics in a doomed bid
to save him from her future bullet; how she drove him and rode him and
smothered him. He died, anyway. A failure, anyway. I felt Lost
was offering a belated toast to the late Faraday in Sideways Jack's
surprising cross with Sideways Dogen, whose son was also auditioning
for Williams. ''They are too young to have this kind of pressure,''
Dogen said. ''It's hard to watch and be unable to help.'' Rest In
Peace, Daniel. Sorry your Mom sucked. (I look forward to getting Island
Dogen's backstory and seeing how much of it ironically synchs with this
small peek into his Sideways world.)

Any thoughts out there about Walt's possible role in the homestretch?
I don't think he will play a role at all. We might see him in a flash but that is about it. There are much more important people to focus on. Who knows, he might not have even been born now

I guess the writers just killed whatever angle they were going for when making it seem like Walt was so important to Ben and Richard. Seems odd. Oh well.

I would think Walt would have to make some sort of return. Early on in the series there were episodes dedicated to him, well Michael but a lot of the time they were giving information about Walt, and how he was "special." The one in particular I am talking about is when that bird dies and Walt's stepfather brings him back to Michael and says something along the lines of "Walt is not normal and there is something very different about him." If Walt does not make a comeback all those episodes were pointless. I like to think the writers did not start this show with the intentions of just adding meaningless storylines. I guess we will just have to wait and see if he still has a place in the grand scheme of things.

Another good episode. Not much in terms of answers but the stage has been set for the throw down in the jungle. It appears Dogen was right about Sayid. After his talk with Flocke, Sayid appears ready to do anything Flocke says in order to bring Nadia back to life. If the time comes, do you think he could kill Jack or Hurley? I don't think so.
What a great face Claire made at Kate when she told her she had taken Aaron. Those two are defiantly going to throw down sooner or late with Kate hopefully ending up dead. I also watched an interview with Carlton where he said Kate's name was indeed on the cave and it was crossed out. They just didn't edit it into the episode for some reason.. This enforces my belief even more that Kate will be dead come seasons end.
I hope we get a backstory about Illana because she apparently knows everything about the island. I am assuming Jacob visited her off the island and informed her of everything and was saving her in case he needed her, which he obviously does now.
I am really looking forward to next week. Ben is my favorite character and it should be all about him. I feel he will still can play a huge role for the island. And he has to be digging up Locke's grave right? Unless Nikki and Paulo and are set to make a return and bore everybody to death, it will be interesting to see how they use Locke's body
What did you think?

It was certainly interesting. I know people are getting irritated with the show because it's not giving much in the way of answers. But they have to be patient as I am. I think in the long run, the season will blow people away. But people want answers ASAP and don't want to wait. I too am excited about next week with the Ben featured episode. Why do you hate kate so much? She is damn sexy, but can be annoying because she can't decide who's schlong she wants.

I love looking at her but I just hate how she uses both Jack and Sawyer for herself and always try to be involved and help when all she does is fuck shit up.
