Tough to beat the 90's. 24 now and lately I've been in a 90's kick from hell. What a generation I got to experience, just a great time to be alive IMO, wish I were a bit older though was too young to fully appreciate it...

YES IT DOES.
 
The 80's and 90's music sucks balls.  I hate the say it, but the best thing that came out of the 80's was the LA glame metal scene.  I don't like anything from the 90's.  That whole Seattle grunge thing sucks monkey sac.  Pearl Jam fucking sucks, sorry.  The best thing in the 80s and 90s was the older bands from the 60s and 70s that were still together and still toured.
 
The only new band that I remotely care for now is the Drive By Truckers, and I still think they suck.  They'd be much better if they actually turned down the fucking distortion on thier guitars and actually played the things.  That's the fundimental problem with all the newer music from the 90's and 2000s. 
 
Learn to play your instruments, learn to actually sing and most importantly, learn to fucking JAM.

Doesn't anyone like blues? Blues like Peter Green from the original Fleetwood Mac or Eric Clapton (left). Why don't we have music like this anymore? I do agree that techno is a world music. I studied in spain for 3 months and thats all they listen to.

The Techno/trance shit is just that.........shit.

 As far as the Seattle grunge thing sucking........you're alone with your feelings. Nirvana, AIC, Pearl Jam, etc, influenced most of the decent rock out today. You'd be in the minority in any group you tried to sell that to.

Nope, sorry, not alone.  I'm a musician and most all of my friends feel the same way.  And as far as that crap influencing music today - that was the point of my post - there is no decent rock these days. 

Don't take in personal MUGG, to each their own.   I do, however, like Pink Floyd.

I download the indie/rock playlists, many of the bands that you list are on the monthly playlist.  I suggest you give it a try.
 
I would suggest everyone get the Kooks new album.  It's not too indie sounding.  Great mellow or light rock. 
 
Sam Roberts old stuff,  My favourite is "dead end".
 
Really old song you guys should check out on youtube, is 'The Inbreads' -"Any Sense of Time"

I don't mind the certain genres in this decade just like those a decade ago in the 90's something that I never heard of until school in parts of 10 years ago which Istarted to interest in hardcor something tha t their wern't allot of like that school choir crap?

I saw modest mouse on Letterman a few years back (I don't think anybody knew who they were then) and honestly I thought their performance was moderate at best.  My Dad and I laughed and called them "moderate mouse" that night.  I gave some of their stuff a listen and I still use that nickname to describe their music because I think it is appropriate.
