I think in a normal schedule, Lakers win by 15. But, NBA is all about scheduling. Almost all star break, first game back, and I will take the 9 points gladly. I think it will be ugly, and close. Lakers by no more than 6

Number seemed high to me too, UNTILL you take a look at their home wins. When they do win at home its been by double digits, 10 out of their 15 times. and 1 time by 9. Looks like a a no play to me. Good luck though

Narco, my first instinct is to do the same, but you never know what you will get out of my Lakers. I remember when they came gome after that despicable 6 game losing trip to start January and we wiped the Cavs by 20. The Suns are no better than the cavs on the road. Actually, we have had two -9 lines at home and covered against PHX and Portland.
Honestly it would not shock me if the Lakers lose SU, as I stated they are capable of covering such lines against such times in these similar spots. Just not worth it, better games out there.

Now here's a big situational play - if the Clippers beat the Rockets in their return to Staples Center on Wednesday, then it's the Lakers over the Clippers in the late TNT game on Thursday night. If the Clippers beat the Rockets and hold them under 100 points, then the Thursday night play gets even stronger.

This is not a good spot for the Suns. In fact, I'm not sure they even have any good ones. They returned home from a 4-game road trip, had one day off, then got stripped of their manhood by their daddies (the Thunder), and now have to hit the road again for a 3-game trip. Also, the setting Suns are 1-5 SU & 2-4 ATS this season on the road off a home loss. But more than anything, they're just a bunch of bricklaying bitc.hes.
