Commentators stated that theirs alot of physical play off the ball. Refs let them play for the most part - this bodes better for Cavs team, especially when you have a player like Dellavedova who is permitted to get away w/ alot if the refs are on the Cavs side, wich i think they were in game 2.
By half time the Cavs ahd 16 FT's and Warriors only 9 - that's a huge discrepancy in a close game.
At one point in the 3rd quarter i was wondering how the Cavs were actually winning the game. Lebron whent iso all night and was a complete detriment to the team. @ one point the guy was blocked twice on two consecutive plays. By the end of the 3rd Cavs had 22 FT's and Warriors 15.
The 4th Q was when the Cavs really started to get the calls. One foul on particular was suspect on clay when Cavs were up only by 2 pts. A couple of BS fouls on Bogut and a horrible call on Iggy refs claim he fouled Lebron, wich had the crowd chanting 'Refs you suck' while Lebron was shooting FT's - Lebro nshot 18 FT's for the game.
Over time was when things got interesting. Lebron got no benefit of the doubt on 2 consecutive plays. One play in particular where Iggy evidently hacked Lebrons arms w/ his was not called and i was highly surprised. The refs seemed to have suddenly swallowed their whistles on the Cavs...........and i have a theory here about refs officiating OT's.
I think that even if refs are on one side of the game during regular time once it happens to go over time the team that came back to even the ball game to take it to OT will be the one who gets the benefit of the whistles. Case in point 2013 finals, game 6 when Joe Crawford and crew were obviously on the Spurs but Ray Allen buried the dagger to take it to OT - Refs then were suddenly not too friendly for the Spurs and Miami ended up winning.
& game 1 where McCutchens & crew seemed to have sided w/ the Cavs all regular time. Cavs had the advantage w/ FT's once again but Warriors tied the game sending it to over time. McCutchens & crew were then suddenly not too friendly towards the Cavs and Warriors ended up taking the game.
Though my theory is that what ever team ended up tying the game in reg time to send to OT ends up winning the game game 2 outcome obviously does not follow the theory since Cavs won anyway. That no call hack on Iggy was just so glaring. Lebron would 110% of the time get that call........why did he not get that call and at such a crucial time of the game???? To me the theory still rings true, it's just Cavs offset any ref bias by actually being able to drain shots when they needed to and Warriors could not. W/ that particular no call the refs were evidently on the Warriors in OT but GSW couldn't make their shots to take the game. Either way the league gets a tied series w/ the possibility of extending, wich is always a plus for them.
But again, i've based another play on ref crews and am on a 19-5 win streak because of it. Take that for what it's worth but consider that i've been doing this and been very successful for the past 3 seasons now in the playoffs and finals in particular.
Game 3 notes, leans and predictions coming once refs assignment is out. I'm leaning GSW so let's see what the league has up their sleeved w/ the officiating crew. Back in about 2 hrs.
