Notes for game 3.
1Q: Warriors didn't have the look of a team that just lost their last game @ home. Did not look determined or hungry. 1st Q officiating seemed harmless enough for both sides - but then again Cavs were up for the most part - would there have been more calls for Lebron & Cavs if they had been trailing? i believe they would have as i'm certain this game was there's to win - wich is why Crawford was sent in. You could see a part of the game where Dellevadova was defending Curry very physically and Curry was looking at the refs waiting for a foul to be called. I stated that in games Cavs are 'supposed' to win he gets away w/ alot of physical play. This was obviously one of those games.
CLE 1 - GSW 1 FT
CCLE 5 - GSW 4 PF
2Q: So as you can see not much to go by in that 1Q. Iggy has done a fantastic job on Lebron all series. But again there was a play in the 2nd where he defended Lebron well but was not rewarded and got call for a bogus foul, sending Lebron to the line. There was also a portion of the Q where Lebrons shot was waived as Thompson poked the ball out but the very next offensive possesion Lebron gets away w/ a travel and counted his points. Doesn't help Warriors that Curry is something like 1 for 6 most of the game.
CLE 6 - GSW 7 FT
CLE 9 - GSW 10PF
3Q: Curry still not shooting well.
This Q was ALL CAVS. Green got DESTROYED by the refs this Q. He couldn't breath w/out copping fouls. Lebron getting calls also. PF's for Warriors started to pile up abit more this Q, wich shows in the boxscore. Cavs up by 20 pts or so to end the Q.
CLE 9 - GSW 7 FT
CLE 10 - GSW 16 PF
4Q: It's amazing that for 3Q's as physical as Delly has been he only has 1 PF. By the time he received his 2nd was here in the 4th....but that's because Cavs were up by double digits by the end of the 3rd Q. GSW started to get calls, including a blocking foul on Lebron that surprised everybody, but GSW only getting calls now that the lead had ballooned to double digits. It seemed it was all Warriors in the 4th. Refs started to give Warriors whistles that it led to a comeback and @ one point they got it to a one point game. It's amazing what can be achieved when the refs are on your side. But no, this wasn't to be Warriors game, never was.
To end the game the FT and PF disparity became glaring.
CLE 24 - GSW 12 FT
CLE 16 -
GSW 25The damage by the refs was done the entire 2nd half.
Warriors only had 5 FT's since the end of 1st half, while
Cavs had a whopping 18 FT's.
Warriors had
15 PF's since the end of 1st half, while
Cavs only had
7 PF's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So by the end the boxscore revealed the refs side for the game. Again, using their stats & history we were on the correct side and had another flawless day.
From what i've observed this series has been very one sided in regards to officiating. The refs have been siding w/ Lebron & the Cavs for the most part, spite of GSW winning game 1. Cavs received the benefit of the whistles throughout game 1 and it showed in FT and PF disparity - thought it wasn't a huge disparity it does make a difference. It wasnt until OT where GSW started to get friendly calls.
So if that's 3 games in a row w/ officiating on Cleveland's side.....is this another Cavs/Bulls scenario? Lebron received 3 friendly refs consecutively (Foster, and then both Crawfords) and won the series to advance. As i stated if they bring in Joe Crawford for game 4 i think it may be clear what the league agenda is all this time and if so Warriors never really did have a chance from the get go since the script has already been written. So for Warriors sakes they better hope Crawford is no where near the vicinity of Cleveland.
Who do i think will win this series? i've never really been that certain at all. Not until game 2 when Irving was reported out for the rest of the finals. I was then leaning towards the arriors - I said the only way Lebron & Cavs can win this now is if the refs give them a hand and, well, so far this is exactly what is occurring.
So it will be very interesting who they send for game 4. I am currently leaning the Warriors.....but much like game 3 where i was initially leaning on GSW, i could change sides as soon as i see ref assignment, in particular i will change sides if i see the name JOE CRAWFORD.
And just for future reference, i will reiterate that in games where Cleveland is 'Supposed' to win, Dellevadova is permitted to get away w/ alot of physical play - as he did vs the Bulls & Atlanta. I guarantee if Warriors takes one of these next games & Curry is let loose, Dellevadova will be all of a sudden surprisingly whistled more than we have seen him receive so far in the finals & will be in foul trouble for most of that game. WATCH! Dellevedova is a rat that has been permitted to be physical by the refs - that's all it is. But you see the public now give him props more than he deserves as somebody w/ heart, grit and hustle. COMPLETE HOGWASH!
Bring on Ref assignment for game 4!
