No Albert is big problems for this team. Once he went out the left side of the O-line got man handled. Only a hamstring injury so hopefully will be back in a game or two.
Dolphins have allowed 3 points in the second half all year but way too many blown oppurtunities. Really tough loss but championships are not won or lost in week 2. So many teams have and will have devastating injuries. If they can stay healthy I like their chances once they start to get hot.
Smh. Tough to watch Tannehill play so well and lose. Drive killing penalities and sacks from the O-line combined with piss poor run blocking doomed them. Without Brandon Albert, this team is completely different. Simple as that.

Yes, An offense that throws for almost 400 yards, and held their opponent to 3 points in the second half is the worst product ever produced on an NFL field.
Losing sucks. Learning from it, and learning how to handle it go a long way. A lot of people can't do that.
Any team who loses their best player will have trouble scoring points. Such is life in the NFL.

If you blame Ryan Tannehill for this loss than you are absolutely crazy. That is all I have to say to you. It was Ryan Tannehill vs the world on sunday. The Dolphins couldn't run the ball, and the Dolphins couldn't block anyone and Tannehill went 30-40 for 360 yards and 2 touchdowns...and the Dolphins had a bunch of drops.
He also took a pounding play after play and continues to get up. Almost all of his sacks he was instantly on the ground not his fault...and no lets go pack, 120 yards did not come when then Dolphins had 1st and 20.
I get it, the QB shoulders blame when the team loses but not one of you watched the game if you blame Tannehill for this loss, and I completely lose respect for any football IQ you might have if you make statements like that.
On a side note, thanks for the guys who only stop in my thread when things start to turn sour or leave comments about how the sky is falling for the Dolphins season. Same people who will disapeer if the Dolphins come out strong the next two weeks and sit at 4-1 at their bye...Dolphins were 1-2 last year, and then 1 play from being 6-2. LOL if you think this season is over. I am glad the hype/public is off this team (highest public favorite 2 weeks in a row.) Time to get back to business and beat the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins were also without these guys all game, or most of game.
1. Brandon Albert: Tied most valuable player on team.
2. Cameron Wake: Tied most valuable player on defense.
3. Jordan Cameron: Having a GREAT season.
4. Dion Sims, big strong TE
5. Lamar Miller

@Shiek.
It is all good, we do not need to have the same opinion. You have known Tannehill for a long time but I have to disagree with your opinion on the it factor. It will come in time. Tannehill has PLENTY of big time 4th quarter plays and comebacks.
Monster clutch drives against the falcons in the final seconds and to beat the Patriots in the final seconds. He brought them back in the final seconds against Cincy to tie (that game vs Cincy). He lead them down the field against the Ravens to give them a chance to tie (sturgis missed).
He gets blamed for not being clutch yesterday when his only 4th quarter drives, Landry dropped a pass at midfield that he literally caught and fumbled (0% Tannehill fault) and then on 1st down his next chance he gets blindsided and Dolphins have 2nd and 17 at the 1 yard line. What QB is going to pick that first down up? He did his best to get them in 4th and 4, good field position and the punt backed them up to the MIA 25. That is QB Smarts so no blame at all on him there. Then he has 30 seconds his next drive and can't produce a miracle.
People can spin anything, anyway they want but the fact of the matter is Tannehill is an emerging star who is constantly knocked for not winning more games because his TEAM is making it harder on. Tannehill constantly displays his athletic ability on every play and put balls in a TIGHT as possible window yesterday.
You pinpoint the play where he is blindsided and say that shows he doesn't have IT factor, but what about the TD where he felt the pressure, spun outward and then set his feet throwing across his body to Williams for the TD? That play was amazing. He is still only 25 years old. He is not going to be perfect every play but he literally carried the team on his back last week, like he does a lot of weeks. He does a lot but he CANNOT do it all himself. It is a team game.

Meant to say (that game they won on safety) not (that game vs cincy)
@suuma: We both know the season is long. Same people who said Pats were done last year after KC loss to go 1-2 were same people betting on them in SB. Tannehill just needs to gel alittle with Parker, Stills and Jennings. Dolphins writer Omar Kelly describes DL not getting pressure like they should as 'mystifying' which is a good word. Cam Wake not playing makes it more understandable but still frustrating. That will change everything when that starts to happen. Staying the course without emotion is what seperates the good teams/bettors from the bad ones. You are very right the secondary was high school in the first half. Not thrilled with Mccain at all this year even though he had that sweet pick week 1. Walt Aiken got burnt on that deep TD and Grimes dropped that pick which could have changed game right before halftime.
Side note: How good is Jarvis Landry? What a stud. Making one handed spinning catches and like I said a PPR machine. 16 catches for 175 yards in 2 games. If you missed it he had a crazy 30 yard run breaking countless tackles that was called back on holding. Fireworks when he touches it. Also props to Rishad Matthews. I said before season he will shine on his next team next year because he is tired of being buried on the depth chart. The way he is playing is making Miami want to bring him back. Also, the Dolphins O-line looked PATHETIC losing week 2 and 3 last year (allowing 8 total sacks) and then only allowed 8 total sacks in the next 5 games and were 1 play away from being 5-0 (damn Aaron Rodgers). This stat alone should tell you how important O-line is in the NFL, and yesterday the Dolphins O-line played like a JOKE after Albert went out.
Final thoughts on the week: The Dolphins have outscored their opponents 37-33 and 17-3 in the second half. The sky is not falling and the season is not over. They played 2 games on the road and played poorly and went 1-1. (Knew after 5 minutes of week 1 Washington wasn't that bad and they proved it yesterday) This is a tough loss that should not have happened but thats life in the NFL. When you are missing some of your best players, and you committ more penalties than any game in years (12 for 120 i believe it was around) and you don't block anyone and get zero sacks (few wiped out on penalties) you are going to lose. Especially on the road. I don't care if you are playing a 0-10 team. The coaching staff is not getting this team ready to play and it is frustrating as hell. They are making very good halftime adjustments which is why I don't blame coaching as much as others do. I feel that frustration and agree with it but making drastic changes mid season is not the answer. I still have a lot of confidence in this team because I know how much talent they have. Please write them off if you want to but if you do, don't try to get back on the bandwagon when things turn around which I promises you, they will.

Dolphins will be favored suuma after that beating the Bills took from the Patriots. Also it's Miami's home opener.

Tough loss yesterday. Not sure if the Dolphins overlooked the Jags being that the Bills are next but tough loss. I'm hoping Albert gets back on the field soon as the line looked terrible once he left the game. Landry is a beast and Tannehill put up great numbers until Albert left the game. Rishard Matthews is a huge surprise for me this season... a well welcomed surprise I should say. I have Miller on my fantasy team. I was hoping for a better game from him yesterday but he left with an injury but had nothing going on while he was in anyway. The Dolphins seem to be shying away from the run game early this season.
Not sure what's going on with the defense. Maybe I expected too much. That stupid penalty on Vernon yesterday was just plain dumb and undisciplined on his part. I just seen on the news that Will Davis was just traded to the Ravens for a 7th round pick next season. Grimes needs some help back there as Aiken and McCain was getting schooled yesterday.
No doom and gloom for me yet as the season is still early.. win one ugly and lose one ugly...it is what it is and now on to the next.
I'll stop by again to get your useful insights as usual. Good luck this season brutha
