Hey EW I don't mean to take this thread reply off topic, but I feel like you probably would have the most accurate opinion here on the forum.
After watching the Jags beat the Dolphins and you're obviously familiar with the Pats since their a huge rival of yours, do u think the Jags cover that CRAZY +14 point spread?
The way these 2 weeks have gone Id strongly consider taking them straight-up but I didn't see how the Jags looked against the fins. Any opinions would be appreciated! BOL this week!
I think sundays game was more about the Dolphins playing terrible than the jags playing well. When I saw them getting 14 I thought that was a few too many but I expect the Pats to win pretty easy. Who knows in the NFL though, with all the crazy upsets it is strange to see a team getting that many. The Pats are about as upset-proof as any team in the NFL besides GB.
@aloha: Good to see you again, glad to see another dolphins fan who is not throwing in the towel already. Long season and if they beat the Bills on sunday they are right back where they want to be.
@jerry: LOL Will Davis was not my boy but he added depth to secondary. The secondary besides Grimes and Jones has looked very suspect but when the pressure starts to come from the defense it will cover some of that up. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't worried about Mccain and Taylor though.
@degengambler: Yeah the AFC East is a dogfight. Hoping the other 3 teams knock eachother around. Division games are beyond important in this division this year. Dolphins play Bills and Jets next 2 game. 2 huge games that they need to go 1-1 in or the season might slip away that quick.
@kevmode: Media hates SUH. The only thing I can think of is I saw SUH constantly shifting back and forth right before the snap. Philbin said that the reports were false. A lot of questions in general right now, and few answers.

As of Today. Wake and Sims are practicing. Miller, Albert and Cameron are not.
Pretty simple if Albert Plays I will be on the dolphins. If Albert does not play, I will be on the under and maybe the Bills.
Any chance Albert or Wake are out? Dolphins were in a terrible spot last week so don't take too much out of their loss. I like them a fair amount this week and will probably be playing them for a fair amount given their aren't a lot of key injuries

Wake is close to 100% he is playing. Miller and Cameron are also most likely going to play.
Albert still has not practiced as of this moment I'd say Albert isn't paying which really sucks.

In the NFL, all people really care about is how you looked the prior week. As of this moment people's opinion and expectation of the Dolphins are about as low as you can get. They have played poorly in 2 straight games and have plenty of questions. One game can change all of that. If they will sunday, and especially if they win convincingly, expectation will change. The reality of the situation is they are 1-1 and have yet to play a home game. One of these next few game the Dolphins are going to come out on fire. It may or may not be Sunday, but it will be soon. It usually happens when I don't expect them to win, which is the case Sunday.
You will hear the Dolphins struggle against the Bills recently, but that is mostly only in Buffalo. The last 2 games in Miami, The Dolphins won pretty easily and played absolutely horrible the previous time and almost pulled out a win at the end losing by 2 points. There just really is no advantage either way in this game and I could see it going any number of ways. I expect an extremely tight game with both defenses playing well but it would not shock me if the Dolphins or Bills won by 14 points. Turnovers, penalties and plays in the final 8 minutes will decide this game, and who really knows who will win those aspects.
With Brandon Albert, I would say the Dolphins win roughly 60-62% of the time in this game, without him I'd say closer to 50%. There may be a very, very small value in Bills ML but Dolphins being at home and due to play better it is very tight. Both DLines should domninate this game so I would lean under but this game could easily also go over. Tannehill will put somer points up and I can already see Tyrod Taylor breaking off a really long run or two. So no advantage to me there either.
My best guess is that Albert doesn't play, but Miller and Cameron do. Wake is close to 100% so he will be playing and making a major impact. The loss of him last week was huge. he is the 2nd most valuable player on this defense. I really expect a tight game between 2 teams who are both playing below how they should be. Either team could explode Sunday, and I really hope it is the Dolphins. They beat Buffalo last year without Albert, and their offense and defense are better than they were (even though they are not playing like it.) I see no advantage here and think it is going to be a tight game decided by less than 6 points. A late second FG or OT is very possible. The only thing I am sure of is that Jarvis Landry will come to play, make a few sick catches, returns and possible runs.
Prediction: 23-21, Dolphins.
Jarvis Landry over catches: 3u to win Jarvis Landry over yards: 1u to win Jarvis Landry to score TD: 1u to win
YTD: 2-4 -3.7u
(Will post lines sunday morning)
GL, Go Dolphins.

Bro I am from Miami, anyone in thier right mind would fade the Dolphins.. Thier first two games of theirs were a cake walk compared to the bills.. I think the bills smash the fins tomorrow and the book will be out on the coaching staff, I.E. Joe philbin.. You wanna see it get worse, catch them lose the very next game to the jets in London.. Rex Ryan will have those, boys ready to play.. The Dolphins, not so much.. The line is only -3, -2.5 for a reason.. They are giving you the cookie hoping you bite it... This game will be similar to last week giants game -2.5, and ended at -1.5 before kickoff.. Luckily this game starts at 4pm Miami time, so there will be time to Capp this game and see what the spread tells us after all the other games have started... IMO.. I don't see how these two teams compared, everyone in Miami is beyond spooked of how this game can turn out.. The only optimistic person is the guy who started this thread who said they are a playoff team.. The Dolphins will be in the bottom 20% of the league this year and they will turnover the coaching to someone else who has less to zero coaching experience in the NFL.. We are officially in the same category as the Cleveland Browns.. I put my apples on it

Everyone and their dog was optimistic on the Fins before they lost last week. They were ranked as high as 8 on NFL.com and were highest public favorite in the NFL 2 weeks in a row.
Something about the NFL turns grown men into females with all of their over-reaction. One week you are a hero, the next week a goat. I know talent when I see it and the Fins are loaded with talent. Case and point their #5 receiver going for over 100 yards last week. 14 games left and anyone who wants to give up on the season is more than welcome to. I know better than that.

When will the Dolphins let Lamar Miller play? Their offense right now is outsmarting itself. You can't run draw plays effectively when the defense knows you're not throwing the ball past the first down marker. The Jaguars had that figured out in no time last week. Until Miami stretches the secondary with long passes, they're not good enough to play Patriots football.

@boz: That teaser SHOULD hit, it looks good but every teaser I ever make looks like it should hit...and then I end up hitting only like 6/10. Teasers scare me.

Why not just tease Buffalo to 10 with your favorite pick not involving Miami given you are very confident this game will be very close? 10 is huge in this spot!

Now trailing 14-0, your Landry props become very viable.
This Dolphins team appears to be simply out coached and out prepared game after game. They may as well move on from Joe Philbin sooner rather than later. It could be the spark this under achieving outfit needs.

One of the TV announcers said in the 2nd half, "The Dolphins haven't picked up a blitz all game even though that's what a typical Rex Ryan defense does. The Patriots had that figured out before the game started last week, but the Dolphins can't make the necessary adjustments."
To me that's a truthful scathing indictment of the coaching staff, not Tannehill.

Won't be on them next week even if Albert plays. Same old Dolphns. Blame Tannehill all you want but Joe Montana would look average with the O-line today. Tough to watch, it really is.

I have no answers.
The line is a joke without Albert.
Brice Mccain can't cover anyone.
Defensive coordinator Kevin Croyle must go.

Its all on the coaching staff ... They looked lost .. Sure Tannehill threw a few balls behind receivers, but he had zero time to set up in the pocket... ALSO the defensive Coordinator has no idea how to use the talented D LINE ..... Can't see them going anywhere with these knuckleheads at the reigns ...
BEST OF HEALTH, HAPPINESS,WEALTH, BLESSINGS and LUCK TO ALL !!

@Canadacup: I admitted that from the beginning of the year. I am in a pool where you pick all the game week 1-10 and I had them at 7-2 at that point. I know this team is forreal and even stated last year how much I wanted Rex Ryan to coach the Fins. I have tons of respect for Buffalo.
@DUp: good win, happy that your team looks good because trust me I feel your pain when they aren't. I am not one for quick reactions but Philbin simply can't motivate his guys for big games he just can't. Bottom line. He will be gone sooner than later.
Will be back later this week with full thoughts but let me just give you this stat. Since beating SD 37-0 last year, the Dolphins are 3-7 without Albertand 1-0 with him. Needless to say, he is everything to this team and without him Dolphins are not good. How Miami's front office thought to back up the most valuable player on the team with garbage Fox is beyond me. So obvious this offensive line was a mess before the season (remember me begging them to sign Mathis.) Why do I see this but the front office doesn't?
