Very sad.  Unnecessary.  KC, like many other major cities across the US, has a gang related violence issue.  This was gang violence where many innocents were caught up in the cross fire.  Much more information to come out obviously in this sad story.  Minors are also involved suspect wise so there has been some suppression of information because of it.  

Mass shooters are hard to prevent even with hundreds of police officers patrolling Kansas city parade.  Mass shootings are common in the US and rare in other countries.  According to Everytown research, states with strong gun safety laws tend to have lower rates of gun violence.  If every state has the gun death rate of top 10 safest states, almost 300,000 lives could be saved in the next decade.  Polls show most Americans favor stronger gun control.

 The rest of the world is not like the US. That's what makes this country great. I said you'd like to live in China based on your comment that nobody should own guns. That's China buddy. They don't have freedom in that country. That is what it sounds like you want here. 

Your family will not move to the Netherlands because they love the US. There is a reason why the US has a net immigration rate. There is more opportunity here in this melting pot of a country. 

Criminals do not care about how many gun laws you want to enact. They'll find ways to get guns. Think about your comment with the black market and drugs. It would happen with guns as well. Guns are never going away. You and the liberal fairies need to understand that and get it out of your head that you're going to eradicate guns and think logically and not like you live in fairy tale land where you snap your fingers and all guns disappear. You liberals have good ideas, but they just don't root in reality. If we want to fix the gun problem, we need to fix the people problem and that starts with the family at home. Raise your damn kids right. Raise them to respect human life, their life, other lives and society as a whole. We have a people problem and it starts at home.

There is a point to that, but you could argue that even when parents do all of those things kids still run amuck.....all of what you are pointing out there at least gives morals and values to them....problem is kids these days are just different...the act differently and a lot of that has to do with technology and social media....it's the one thing that the older generation didn't have and those problems were not as wide...now though, it is a huge problem....information is great and is very knowledgeable if put in the right hands but if you are using that information to do harm (i.e. build a bomb instead of building a bear...how to kill your neighbor without anyone knowing instead of loving thy neighbor) then you start to get down to one root of the problem....

In some ways, you can blame information and social media as a sole root of a lot of problems....can/did some of this exist prior to social media and information, yes, but I'd be curious to know the numbers before and after because it definitely seems like it has gotten worse in the age of technology and social media or did we all just become more aware...
