My advice is to keep betting with a local book who has some mob connections so when you decide to stiff him come payday, he will either break your limbs or have you killed.

First of all, research on Google some gambling stories, how they ruined lives and most of all, what compulsive gambling is caused by and the type of personality that gets affected the most. The brain chemicals that are lacking and needed when betting and what that rush provided that makes it unstoppable.
Next, make predictions that you are REALLY confident about and don't bet on those games. Yes I know, if those plays hit, it will hurt worst than losing itself and your addiction will get worst.
