Covid-19 Good And Bad

Pandemic response changes as scientific data changes.  Unlike 2020, nations are now better equipped with vaccines and drugs to fight pandemic.  Infections are less relevant because vaccines are effective in reducing severe illness.  Now hospitalization is the key indicator.  Despite surge in omicron cases, hospitalization rate is lower than during past surges.  Denmark, Canada, US, UK, Portugal, Israel, Iceland and other vaccinated nations can afford to gradually ease covid restrictions.  If hospitalizations increase later, they can just reinstate covid restrictions.  World health organization is optimistic that the worst of the pandemic may be over in 2022.

Denmark; a country of 5.8 million currently has a US equivalent of 1000+ deaths per day, cases still on the rise as is the death rate

Canada; Cases now dropping, death rate a US equivalent of 1400 per day and not currently dropping.

US; Cases dropping, death rate over 2300 a day.

UK; Cases dropping, death rate the US equivalent of 1280 a death and holding steady.

Portugal; Cases maybe peaking, death rate at US equivalent of 1380 a day and holding steady.

Israel; Cases may have peaked, death rate at US equivalent of 1074 a day and rising.

Iceland; Cases look like they have peaked, more deaths in January 2022 than all of last year.

So if 1000 deaths a day(365,000 a year) is the new acceptable, go for it. 

Interesting, since June 1 of last year Sweden reports half the deaths that Portugal reported. They must be lying, right? 

Ontario police counted under 120 trucks (not 50,000) with cars greatly outnumbering trucks.  Egypt convoy is still the longest.  Fringe minority of unvaccinated truckers are wasting their time because vaccine mandate is unlikely to be lifted.  US government requires vaccination for cross border truckers but 90% are vaccinated.  Parliament has been on vacation in Ottawa.  Besides, vast majority of Canadian population supports vaccine mandates and public health measures.

"Fringe minority" Sorta like the 2020 BLM protests where they filled overpasses, burned businesses and police stations, destroyed vehicles, etc. JUST A FRINGE MINORITY. Except this Canadian group wasn't hell bent on destruction.

Besides, the VAST MAJORITY of Americans support the police and want public safety.

Convoy to DC 2022. A FB group for the anti-vaccine mandate protest has already amassed over 50K people. American truckers are preparing to follow the lead of their Canadian counterparts and convoy from CA to DC.

Many American truckers have joined in solidarity with Canadians, who have formed a 45 mile long convoy of up to 50K truckers heading to Ottawa to protest the government's Covid vaccine mandate for drivers who cross the US-Canada border. "We are part of many large groups who believe in our founding fathers. We support our freedom."

Less severe Omicron blows right past the vaccinations so, so, fewer are dying compared to millions of more cases!! 

Both vaccination and milder omicron variant contribute to hospitalization rates lower than in previous surges of infections.  But unvaccinated people are 17 times more likely to be hospitalized from covid than the fully vaccinated according to department of health.  Fortune reports Ipsos poll revealing omicron is making the unvaccinated rethink their opposition to vaccines.  Majority support vaccine mandates in US, Australia, Italy, France and Germany.  Even the unvaccinated see merit in some mandates.

I am vaccinated and do not see "merits" for forcing people to do what they do not want to do.

Convincing them that vaccination may be right for them, absolutely no problem with that. THEY'RE CHOICE, not anyone else's. Allowing everyone to hear both sides -- absolutely. 

Omicron infects the vaccinated as easily as the unvaccinated. The vaccinated can spread Omicron as easily as the unvaccinated. Letting the vaccinated into buildings/events without proof of non- infection goes against all logic. Of course if the logic is those who follow get rewarded then and only then does it make sense.

Anybody see Magic Johnson and California Dem leaders in the luxury boxes all smiling without masks while looking down at all the peasants following orders? Just another day.....

Alberta Canada, authorities were tipped of a resturant was letting in patrons who did not show a vaccination QR code, rather pictures of their dogs. Agents disguised as patrons used dog pictures, and yes, OMG, they were allowed in!! Resturant was promptly shut down. Thanks to those who tipped off the gestopo, they will be rewarded.

Haiti is doing extremely well vs Covid and there’s basically nobody vaccinated there. 

Has anybody had enough of the poison inside the so called 'vaccine?' A beautiful 20 year old woman has her 2 legs amputated after developing myocarditis. The vaccine caused the myocarditis. This gut-wrenching story is inside the link below. The point is she would have both of her legs and would not have suffered a heart attack if she was not manipulated into the injection. Not to mention her blood would not be contaminated with graphene oxide and spike proteins. Here is the story.

So a 22 year old college athlete who trains daily and is unvaxed is 17 times more likely to be hospitalized from covid then a 95 year old with the vax?

Fake news is from infowars a crackpot conspiracy website that has been banned by Facebook and Youtube according to media bias fact check.   Newsweek reports that Claire Bridges has been born with a serious heart defect.  Although vaccinated, she develops complications after covid infection.  Heart inflammation, lung infection, kidney failure, restriction of blood circulation, leg pain and muscle damage.  To save her life, doctors determine that legs are too severely damaged and need to be amputated.  Her best friend tells media, "take covid seriously and realize it is not a joke."

I haven't been in this thread much but I would guess a 95 year old without the vax is 17 times more likely to be hospitalized than a 95 year old with it. And so forth.

I have been in this thread a lot, and I also review the data that is out there. Minnesota updated their weekly report today, in the last two weeks 153 vaccinated individuals have died of COVID. Checking back to November 15th I see 850 vaccinated deaths in Minnesota, that is 35% of all deaths during that time period (2512). Minn. just past the 66% vaccinated mark.

So if 35% of the deaths are the vaccinated how in the hell are the unvaccinated 17 times more likely to be hospitalized? Factoring in the 66% vaxed, it would equate to about 25% of deaths are the vaccinated or 1 in 4.

Looking at Minnesota data and using the Star Tribune for older data I see Minnesota's posted graphs do not match the data. Hmmmm.  Since August the vaccinated have represented at least 33% of deaths in that state.
