got me what?? I have said it's power play, and i expect GOP will jam through if McConnell has enough votes. Multiple of GOP sentors don't care about hypocrisy from 2016 nomination of Garland to SCOTUS, however the pass of ACA did not involve hypocrisy.
Here's the hypocrisy ObamaCare ....The Affordable Care Act will go down in history as the most corrupt bill ever passed..with bribes and kickbacks needed to get it passed...Now do you get the hypocrisy?

Ahh....I see a certain right-wing fascism supporter has made parole....... AGAIN
The Affordable Care Act is more popular now than when Obama was president
March 2, 2020
Some 55% of Americans support the ACA, a record high since the law went into effect a decade ago, according to a recent report by the Kaiser Family Foundation, while 37% of the 130,000 respondents in the nationally representative poll hold unfavorable views.

Really? Ruby red states have passed the ACA Medicaid expansion in last few months. Don't hate Obama's legacy, ACA is here to protect mid and low income Americans regardless of the political preferences, West Virginia, one of the deep red state, hundred of thousands of it's residents have the ACA protection. Please, don't hate people being helped, be nice to others who definitively need help.

Slim just hates people getting helped from ACA, one of the Obama legacy, and calls ACA "the most corrupt bill ever passed". How many Trump voters have the ACA protection, especially amid the Covid-19 pandemic? I will say millions, what do you think?

That doesn't change the fact that it took $ 1.2 Billion in pork and bribes to pass Obamacare..aided by the help of a Supreme Court Chief Justice changing the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate into a tax ...along with a president's health care promise that was one of biggest presidential lies of all time ...that's Obama's legacy.

that quote was from march 2
with the massive health crisis and massive unemployment rump created by his LIES it is clear the afa is even more popular today then it was march 2 before all this happened
that 55% is probably more like 70% now
will probly gain even more favorability after all the airlines employees r layed off in 10 days

Well, we have to understand perspective in this case.
The AFA was essentially put in place by a BLACK person.
Nevertheless, all that right-wing fascist HATE aside, yes, MILLIONS more are now thankful for the AFA due to losing their company insurance when they got layed off due to trump's deception and bumbling incompetence. And yes, that includes many MILLIONS of republicans!!!! (of course, at least half of those would deny it, if asked)

Exactly, people will need help during this hardship. And I believe majority of Americans will love to help each other.

Obamacare helped some people.. mostly Americans with preexisting conditions and those who are eligible for very generous subsidies. But,by far more people were hurt than it helped by a factor of 2 to1..

Very high degree of probability that is the current fact, yes.
55% favorability in March -- an alltime record high and like you said that was *BEFORE* the trump-virus!
And only 37% unfavorability back then -- likely less now.
I'll bet that +18 point gap is like +30 now.

What Ginsburg's death could mean to Obamacare..After Republicans in Congress failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act in 2017, 20 red state attorneys general led by Texas launched a lawsuit to have the law overturned by the courts. The case is scheduled to go before the Supreme Court for oral arguments on November 10, one week after the election..hopefully with nine Justices in place...
Roberts previously voted with the liberal wing to uphold the ACA in 2012. But Ginsburg's death Friday changes that calculus dramatically.
Congress has already made the ACA unconstitutional when it repealed the individual mandate.. if that one section of the ACA is unconstitutional then the entire law, containing somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,000 pages, counting rules, regulations, and proposed regulations needs to be thrown out.

The legacy of O's Affordable Care Act. My daughter is a person who will dutifully (spelled correctly djbrow) comply. The long story short First. The definition of a deductible is 'responsiblity.' My daughter's ACA plan had a monthly premium of $150 with a deductible of $7,000. Her annual responsibility before she 'might' be allotted coverage was $10,200! The intellectual (spelled correctly djbrow) Left calls this an insurance policy! This is what they call a legacy! Gimme a break!
Assuming any of this is true (the daughter part), it makes no logical sense. The ACA doesn't mandate high deductible policies. In fact, it eliminated them. With that said, $7000 deductibles existed before and after the Act's passage. In other words, in a situation like the above, nothing was changed. The only possible change was that your daughter was mandated to have insurance coverage. One would hope she has coverage before the Act passed. Most parents would want their children to have health insurance.
By the way, its 'responsibility.'

It is worth the political headache. Trump can not trust the vote of Justice Roberts should this election get thrown to the Supreme Court. Jmho.
To me it sounds like people think Trump will lose the election hence the rush to "fill the seat!" If that's the case, you better believe there will be full blown unrest if that occurs. Waiting for the election is best call and it prevents additional chaos that must result otherwise. I hope cooler heads prevail but I have learned this country is just partisan as hell. The tribalism has only increased ten fold over the past four years; either people trust Trump will win or they don't at this point.

Agree, DJ. Pre-ACA insurance market, insurance companies have no upper limited on the co-pay patients have to pay, but there is the upper limit under the ACA. Also, before people with pre existing conditions will NOT get an insurance, insurance companies simply deny these people's applications.
One of my co-worker has had stomach cancer surgery in other country, he could not get any insurance coverage before ACA. He has the coverage now, also people will get denied insurance with a common medical condition, hypertension.
Also, if sundance doesn't like his daughter's ACA coverage. He can simply ask his daughter to drop out of the ACA insurance, thanks to GOP's take away of the mandate. But to guard this suggestion, she'd better sign up another health plan before sign off the ACA. People who without a health coverage are in peril situation, it will cause pretty havoc when comes with unexpected astronomical medical bills.
The other day, a buddy of mine tainted with Legionella pneumonia, he went in and out of ER for couple of times. In the end of the day when he recovered from the pneumonia, he got over $250,000 medical bill. Thankfully, he is covered!
