cooling La Niña phenomenon had a firm grip on the Pacific.

     The oceans have been record-warm for the past four years,
scientists reported in January. Then in mid-March, climatologists
noted that global sea surface temperature climbed to a new high.

The incredible trend worries experts about what could lie ahead,
especially as forecasts predict El Niño is on its way starting this
summer – and along with it, impacts like extreme heat, dangerous
tropical cyclones and a significant threat to fragile coral reefs.

The world was supposed to end 10 or more times during my lifetime.  Spreading fear to line pockets is not good, regardless of political affiliation.   

Past doomsday predictions are based on few research papers with scientific consensus of under 5%.  Today's warnings are based on thousands of research papers with virtually 100% scientific consensus.  So deniers of global warming seem to lack all sense.

April 2023; The Biden Administration green lights the Alaskan natural gas pipeline. The $38.7 billion project – which involves an 807-mile pipeline that traverses the length of Alaska and an export terminal – would significantly boost U.S. natural gas exports to Asia. The estimated $39 billion project is set to extract 929 billion cubic feet per year of natural gas from the North Slope in an area near Prudhoe Bay and would be sent to the liquefication facility in Nikiski, Alaska, through an 807-mile pipeline for 33 years, with much of the product intended for international markets.
